I'm Dan. Anyone get my username reference without looking it up? Kudos to you if you do. I'm a 19 year old college student in New York City. I'm a kissless virgin. I wouldn't say I'm ugly and I'm no longer socially awkward. I'd say I've just had bad luck for the most part--girls I wasn't attracted to told me they liked me, I got friendzoned by girls I actually did like, and I never nutted up and told some girls I liked them when it was obvious the attraction was mutual. I just recently got into The Game by Neil Strauss (about a week or so ago). I knew about PUA ever since I saw the show 'Pick Up Artist' with Mystery a while ago but thought nothing of it. I like to read, draw, sing/listen to all kinds of music, and act. I'm an aspiring creative arts type of guy. Would like to be the jack of all trades. I want to publish my own novels, sell my own digital art, be in a band, and act in movies/films. Quite an arduous task, I know. I don't expect it to all happen overnight but rather gradually. So that's pretty much it. My college is absolute shit--some community college. I'm looking to get a job and move downtown with some roommates and attend School of Visual arts or something. |

I saw this thread and thought it was about me But in seriousness, welcome to the forum. Hopefully things work out for you. My observations have been that the guys who are most able to do the following two things tend to have the most improvement: 1) Put a lot of work into this. Its gonna take a while. Just accept that like mastering any worthwhile skill, this is going to be a bit of a journey and you are going to have to put some hours in. I suggest starting a journal in the Field Reports section and making daily updates. Try to approach one girl a day and that way you will always have something to post about. But even if you don't do an approach on a particular day, you can still post to ruminate some, to talk about how you are feeling, what observations you've made, etc... 2) Put themselves into uncomfortable situations. AKA show some balls. If you get far enough with this you'll see the getting good with girls requires some very bold moves. Most guys will trip up on some anxiety. Its the ones that refuse to quit and find ways to eliminate their fears that get somewhere. Good luck. Cool Name. |
