A series of flops, but at least you can laugh at them.

AvatarJ

I am a 21 year old Neuroscientist, who currently lives in London.

>how you got into "the game"
When I saw a few episodes of the Pick Up Artist TV show on TV once, it opened my eyes to a new way of thinking and being genuinely entertaining seeing geeky guys like myself succeed and fail (sorry to be negative but some of the flops are too funny not to laugh at. At least I can always laugh at myself when I say or do something truly stupid like when my gum falls out my mouth mid conversation with a set of two 8s -_- )

>how long you've been studying and practicing pickup

4 years. but I'm still naive.

>which pickup method(s) you like to use
I'm too new to know the names of any methods.

>what your hobbies/passions are
Partying, soccer, playing games, socialising and meeting new people.

>what your goals are
Find the One, find good friends, be more socially aware.

>and whatever back story you wish to share with us
I had girls throw themselves at me all 10s and being naive and having no game I used to panic and nothing happened.
Now I can get girls, I vaguely know what I'm doing but I don't feel fully comfortable and I'm not reaching my full potential.

Hey bro welcome to the forums! You said you're a neuroscientist eh? You've for sure heard of NLP then?

Yeah, my neuroscience 'background'(/career ...whatever it should be called) definitely means that the game and NLP peak my interest and I hope that my experience can add to the Community.

But i was only aware of NLP after reading "The Game" funnily enough.

I was surprised about the sophistication of the NLP field reports I've read. It's a very interesting premise, but from a neuroscience stand point it is a highly fallible technique (though I appreciate its concepts can most definitely work).

On the other hand, I was also very skeptical about some of the more successful techniques mentioned, as the women it worked on would need to be abnormally open to suggestion.

I'm not NLPs biggest fan, and this may be apparent in my posts, I am only here to experience that rush of emotion, those butterflies, that "crush effect" that NLP is designed to give girls, which I now find is a lot harder now I am aware about NLP. Am I the only one?

Sounds good to me I dot really use it myself haha I prefer indirect gaming and NLP isn't the most legitimate thing I've ever read about. If anything I think that NLP is useful but not foolproof. Again though good luck you might want to read The Natural by Richard la Ruina aka Gambler. He's great and knows a lot about what he's talking about
