Hey all, I'm a 26 year old guy who has recently taken a passing interest in PUA. I've had reasonable success with the fairer sex, but as with everything in life I believe there is room for improvement. Now to my question: Frankly at this stage I know little about PUA. I do know however, that I love and respect women. I love what they can offer me, how they make me feel, and how I can provide the same for them. So my question is, is PUA consistent with this mindset. I don't want to treat woman like dirt, and use mind games/tricks/hypnosis to sleep with them. I also don't want to form a fake personality. If that is the case frankly I have no interest in it, it's not worth it to give up my integrity. We all know woman want sex as much as men deep down; what I want from PUA is to learn how to break through the social bullshit and conditioning that stops them from exploring this. Can PUA provide this? Cheers, L |

Personally the two main rules I follow are: #1. Leave them better then you found them! #2. Don't become someone your not! |

From what I can see, PUA theory and practice, are tools. Like any tool, it can be used well or misused. My brother disparages PUA as he views it as manipulative, but I have always taken a more reductionist view. Reading Mystery's theories, it seems to be just understanding how men and women attract to each other, and, if one understands the rules, one can play the game a damn sight better. So sure, I would think one can play the 'game' and take advantage of the other, or use the rules to make being with a woman a whole lot easier. Does that follow that one rides roughshod over a womans feelings and use and abuse them? No, of course not, if one gets ones jollies by doing that, it's that persons business, and karma will get them. I would think the majority of PUA 'artists' (at least I would hope so) adore and are facinated by women, and enjoy their company. I have always considered that deep down, there was something wrong with the mainstream way men and women try to attract one another, and figured out that it must be linked to sexual evoloutionary anthropology somehow. From what I have gathered so far, turns out I was right. So, I guess, you can use it for good or evil, if you want a black or white answer! |
