Post subject:  New to PUA

Hi everyone,

I have been reading "the game", as well as watching the site for a few weeks now, so I thought I might introduce myself, maybe get some advise. Although I'm still a little skeptical (I'm a "see it too believe it" kinda guy), I definitely think learning about PUA has a lot to offer me.

About me: Until 6 months ago I have been a serial long term relationship guy (4 spread over 6 years) with the last one ending while living with my ex at university, when she unexpectedly (and brutally) binned me off. As a result I'm newly single, with my only 'one nighter' experiences confined to a few conquests in the brief periods of singledom between relationships. With this 'binning' being my first real taste of rejection it has left me a bit strapped for confidence tbh. I always have had a fairly bad case of AA, but it is particularly bad now.

Ironically, I often get described by girls I know (and ex's), as very self confident/ assured. But in truth, I am a very shy bloke and a massive 'thinker' - not good when it come to pick up as I now understand it.

Since being introduced to PUA stuff, I have noticed a fair change in the way I'm projecting myself in social situations. I'm more comfortable in a word. For example I went out last night, got a few kisses on the cheek and openly flirting with my mates girl housemates. But the AA is never far behind because I often freeze up a bit, thus not pushing it any further.

One big problem I am encountering since I started looking into PUA however, is with my male mates. They seem quiet keen to shoot me down if they get the chance. Most are in relationships, but even the one's that are single, are not exactly encouraging. Anyone else experienced this? Or maybe I'm just too sensitive. Any advise would be ace!

Cheers
