Post subject:  Starting Out!

Hello, there!

I'm The Gipsy, 25 y.o., law student from São Paulo - Brazil.

I don't know, actually, how I came to know about PUA. I've been doing some research on human behavior, and this may have been the time.

Thing is: I got fascinated. It's really nice to know that there are people just like me, people who have, or had their fears, and are trying to overcome them, or helping others!

I've been reading about PUA for a couple of months, now. Everyday I drop by, read new posts, old posts, theory, stories.

This weekend I started reading "The Game", as everybody says it's a Must Read. I must confess I was a little skeptical about it, but I admit I got/am impressed.

A little about me.. uhh.. What to say?

I haven't taken the Noob Mission yet. But I will. Soon. I PROMISE!

I'm known to be a nice guy. I think I'm a good person to have a conversation. BUT, I get nervous. VERY nervous to approach women, and get comfort.

There is a video on which Gambler says that to have a good Day Game, it's necessary to think as the other person, and imagine her Emotions, Motivation, and Personality Traits. I think I'm a natural at this. Within 5 min of convo, a lot of people come to me and say "I feel we already know each other."

But I can do nothing from this. Plus, this only happens when I'm comfortable. So, I never approach, it's always when the girl is a friend's friend, or a college acquaitance.

And I get stuck in the LJBF zone. I'm afraid to take the next step.

When I approach, I don't know what to say, or I just say something stupid.

Well. I have no game. Period.

I NEVER picked up a girl at a club/party. And this ticks me off! I mean... I'm in college. This can't be SO hard! I'm a nice, outgoing guy.

All the girls I go out happen to be friends first, then I keep moving. But this is slow, and most times goes wrong.

I'm not a very political person. I'm very Direct, as I think my game would be. Althoug I must say Mistery Method impresses me a lot, and there are lots of other things I'd like to learn.

So, I'm here. Asking for your help! Maybe in the future (not a far one, I hope), I may be here, welcoming people, and helping them out.

I learned a few things about Opening (haven't tried yet), Negging (tried a little. Works good, so I'm getting confident about it). I learned to do The Cube (which is AMAZING!!!), and trying to learn some cold reading.

One more thing: I can read BL really well! When others are interacting!! Never when someone is interacting with me. So I never know when I get a subtle IOI!

Sorry for the long post!

Thank you for being here!

Kind Regards.

Hey, Gipsy!

I can't offer you much help as I'm new too, but I did want to say I'm in pretty much the exact situation you are, so I can feel your pain.

I really don't know what I was planning on communicating in this post, now, other than a sign of solidarity. But yeah, it's really good to know when you're not the only one, and if you ever want a friend to discuss things or go over game plans who's about the same level as you, hit me up.

Hey!

I'm very glad to read you guys here! It really takes a weight of my chest to share this with you!

Yes! We definitly deserve more. But before anything, we have to man up and change ourselves. Our way of seeing the world, of talking to people, and managing situations!

If you need anything, hit me a PM.

Thank you, folks!!

G.

Tip: watch out for negs. Very easy to overdo, and (most of the time) at best unnecessary at worst will get you blown out. They were only intended for incredibly hot and bitchy party girls in the first place.

Also for most people "The Game" is definitely inspiring but not actually that helpful. Very few experienced people actually use Mystery Method (look around the forum!).#

Good luck

Not much to report, actually.

I've been reading a lot, and taking guts to accomplish the Newbie Mission. Today I started looking people in the eyes when walking on the street, smiling (making it always natural), and working on my speaking pace (I talk too fast).

So I just said "Hi, Whats Up" to a lady in the elevator and to a girl who I asked information. Definitely not PU, but working up my social skills and confidence.

I will sure read you Report, Phoenix!

@Radar01

That's what I thought. And believe me when I say: If anyone in this world can overdo a neg, this is me. I have a deep deep deep sense of humor. So, sometimes, even if I don't want to, I offend people. Maybe I should just stick to the C&F stuff.

The Game is really inspiring. And there are some things I think I can add to my game, but you're right about using the MM.

I've been reading and watching some videos. I like Gambler's material a lot! But I'm thinking about not going for any particular style. Just adding what I think it's useful. What do you think? Is this like "If somebody tries to do everything, nothing will be done right", or I may be in the right track?

When you get the confidence to approach anyone on the street and can start a simple conversation or say hi, my tip is then to watch the videos of Style teaching some AFC's. Reading how to approach, open up and position yourself is good, but seeing it on video explains... if that makes sense :P
