Hi, my name is Tom, I'm 18 years old. To say something about myself - I like physics and math and I also like to play the piano, violin or chess. I also enjoy sport (but I don't do anything specific) and camping in the nature, backpacking... Due to my interests I might come across to you as a nerd, but I don't really feel like one. I got dumped by my girlfriend after three months a few days ago (she was basically my first gf). She said that the start of our relationship was a bit weird, that there was no flirting and so on and that she decided to go for it hoping that she would fall in love eventually. Didn't happen and she broke up with me because she wants to fall crazily in love. I think that what she means isn't falling in love, it's just something that an experienced guy can do with almost any girl and has nothing to do with love whatsoever, but it's what she wants and I can't offer that to her. I always considered this picking up a bit immoral, but now that I realized, that it's what girls actually want, I decided to give it a try. I've never been good in conversing and flirting and this stuff. I should mention that I have a mild stammer which makes these things a bit harder. But I'm willing to learn. Tom |

Welcome to the community! It's great that your willing to improve yourself in field that you need improvements instead of being one of those guys that hope things just fall on their lap(me once). As always, good luck on learning and remember to share you successes with us. |

I'd start by reading The Game, it's by no means the cutting edge of pickup but it's a very entertaining and inspirational read and probably how about 90% of people found out about pickup. |

Reding books is like doing theory. It's just a theory until you go do it. Start with the newbie mission. Don't feel disappointed if you didn't succeed. Just keep at it. |
