So I just started trying online dating (yeah, I know, but I'm military and can't leave base to meet girls most of the time). Anyway, I feel like I'm just blending in with the thousands of desperate dudes online. What can I do to stand out and what should I should I saw in an initial message to a girl? Thanks. |

There are lots of things you can do to make your profile stand out.-Good photos of you actually being active and doing things -A sentence that catches the girls attention in the first part of your profile -A call to action to message you at the end of you profile -Actually describe your personality not just the things you like or are into -Describe the type of girl you are looking for and what qualities she'd have so when that girl comes along she'll know she's a match -Read other guys profiles and figure out ways to be different -Read through the posts in the Online Dating section to get fresh ideas Hope it helps brother! |

Again this is just an example. DO NOT put these as your own. Use something that works for your personality. LEGAL DISCLOSURE: You have found someone who is entertaining, original, honest, loyal, and easy to talk to. Talking to this person could cause severe happiness, laughter, and smiling! Just something different to catch the person off guard a little bit and make yourself stand out. It might be something like a little more common like using a quote you like from pop culture... Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Hitch Anything besides the usual.... "I hate writing these things but here goes...." or "Hi my name is...." or "I like football, movies, etc." Try to be original and genuine with who you are. |

hey bud, online game is my area of expertise (hope that doesn't sound too big headed!) In my experience military guys always do well online. Women love a guy in uniform so make sure at least one of your photos has you wearing it. Make your profile strong, confident and unique. |
