Post subject:  My Journey Begins Now: Introduction and a MAJOR Question

Hello everybody!

I'm 22 years old and a recent college graduate; and I am here because I made a decision to change my life around.

I'm perhaps an unusual case with unusual problems, but I will save all of that for the other sections of the forum. The only thing I will say is that I think the community is possibly the answer for my problems.

I do have one major question however that I would really appreciate different perspectives on before I truly decide to start my quest . . . exactly how effective and natural are the things that this website and for that matter the whole community is predicated on? In other words. . .

I noticed through my reading of "The Game" that the methods employed seem to be almost overly methodical. There's different phases, scenarios, canned materials, and all sorts of terminologies. I fear that I will be training to become a social robot of sorts and not a natural, organic being. Do you all feel that after a period of time of practicing all of this my natural game will start to emerge and my OWN game so to speak will take over? One of my goals is releasing myself of all anxiety and fearfulness, and the last thing I want to do is treat each encounter like a painstakingly planned out mission.

This also begs the question of how flexible these various PUA methods are. Not every encounter is an opener out of no where. I'm still at that "inbetweener" age where I will be going to college classes and house parties and other adolescent functions.

So to condense all of this into a question yet again:

Is PUAing a means to an end or the end all be all?

Thank You all for your time and support. I will be sure to contribute to this website in anyway I can as I get better. Because I WILL GET BETTER.

Cheers!

Hey there! The answer for your questions you get by experience and practice. I am newbie too at PUA and this forum. I'm 18, i did enter in college this year. IMO the answer isnt simple, it is hard too find, and need months, years to master it. It is a long "jorney" to learn and make the forum's knowlege natural. That's my opinion.

Good luck to us

In your case I'd read lots and be selective about what you use. Fit things in that are congruent with your personality.

Well, the big thing here is that its what you make of it. me personally? i switch it up, ill open with some natural elements, sometimes "canned" stuff, mostly its just knowing what your comfortable with, what you need to get better at, and knowing that sometimes you just gotta risk it all and throw it to the wind. be ballsy, and take risks. welcome to the community.

Learning PUA material presents the possibility of becoming a social robot ONLY if you solely rely on it. This is the mistake many guys make. Over time though, and as your level of confidence and expertise grow, you'll start getting away from all the canned material. It will be cheesy and methodical, and most likely, you'll come up with your own style of game.

That is the most common situation with good PUAs within the community.

So, learning the material can turn you into a methodical being, but that's not bad at the beginning. Remember that you usually start from scratch, so the material gives you guidance and a sense of direction. This is in fact good.

Hope the answer helps and if you want more, check out my website on the links below. Some great info on this subject and others.

Take care and good luck Samnite
