and b. Here goes. Alright, so don't let my botched attempt at a user name completely dissuade you from playing in the sandbox with me (my handle was supposed to be "TwoTone" but the N on my keyboard is hinky). And please excuse the fact that this might look like an ad on a singles site, but this is my first attempt at the forum life, so I don't know what else an intro should look like. NBD.
My name's TwoTone and I'm a 23 year old student living in New York, primarily the Long Island area (but I love heading into NYC). I've done tons of research on theory and read my fair share of books. I've looked at books and read up on psychology, etc etc. And I've got my fair share of field experience and relationships.
Recently I've hit a lull in my "pick up" activity. With a focus on school and work, I haven't been able to put as much time as I'd like to into the community, and that's been kind of a disappointment to me. On top of that, I've also met my own little sticking point that I have trouble getting past (creating a real solid hook with girls who don't IMMEDIATELY take to my initial approach). Usually I just rely on the fact that I'm pretty good looking, in good shape, and I know how to talk to people well/I'm not a creep. My issue is that my game isn't as consistent as I'd like it to be (about a 60% close/hook rate) and Id like to work on it more.
So here I am. I'm mainly looking to meet up with other "PUAs" (sorry I'm not sorry if you don't like the term~) around my area or those coming into town. I'm trying to immerse myself in more theory and more of the community. So far I've been wing-less, but that hasn't stopped me (I'm heading into NYC solo tonight. hollaaa) from practicing this game we all love so much. I'm definitely open to meeting up with anyone looking to wing. My end goal is to become a master at this stuff and give back by teaching it (alongside other PUAs) to new guys.
