We need a one-itis forum.
We all hit our one-itis sooner or later, and the advice always given is the standard GFTG (go fuck ten girls) and then see if the girl is so special. While this may be 'field tested' i still think we need a forum on here, a section where guys can gush about their one-itis as a form of emotional release. I knwo most guys with one-itis have the urge to call the girl up and tell them how they feel "like they do in the movies" but that creates what is called the instant eww. Therefore, i suggest we have a forum for one-itis.
The forum would not be for advise, and would be for merely talking about their feelings. We may be PUAs, but we are still human.

won't you join me in chicago for the FEEL fun run to create awareness for One-itis? no one knows what one-itis is or what one-itis does, but one-itis kills. come early and get your free ribbons.
i don't think we should encourage it, much less allow to add to this forum's clutter. a notebook can be the pua's best tool. i'm a big believer in journaling (on paper). it drives the point all more home when you pen something yourself. i'm not just some dick saying this either. i have the itis too. |

The whole point about an emotional release is telling other people. People with serious One-itis will want to call up the girl and tell her how they feel. This can seriously fuck up any chance they have with the girl. I think we can all learn from experiences if they are posted and relate so is that we all know we face the same problems. It would not add to the clutter of the forum as it would be an organized section and i really doubt it would encourage one-itis.
The online communities try to make people never talk about their one-itis and make them hide it, act like its not there, but it is. We can;t cover this thing up, if anything we need to release it in a positive way that doesn't fuck up our chances. I seriously think we need this section added.

I'm against it right now. There are too many AFCs complaining about one-itis who have barely started learning game. I'm afraid a forum for one-itis would become plagues with rants about being hung up on this one hot girl that doesn't give a shit about them or anything else.
Give it a few more months, I've already noticed a rise in quality posts. We will be back to serious discussions in no time. |

It would, but you would at least know to avoid that section. It keeps the crap in one place, kind of like a self-filling rubbish bin. |

| Well, back in the other days I had some cases on one-itis, but fortunately for me I haven't met a girl that can honestly trigger the rehash of this social disorder. I have noticed that some of the newbie questions are designed specifically for one-itis solutions, and sadly I have no way on helping them out. |

Sadly enough, I posted a long post in the PMZ on Oneitis. It's about how I finally got her, and I could give less of a shit anymore. It's like I was the cat and she was the string way back when. And now that I can have her, I don't care at all anymore.
If you're really interested, it's there. Completely dead thread.
Based on the activity that thread's gotten I believe it's a nice gauge for how a Oneitis forum would go over.

In the other hand I don't think we need a One-itis Section;
Why?
Because there is nto a quick fix, there is no Q&A. the only thing that helps you with one-itis is time and there are some things you can do, but there is no point on discussing your one-itis, the only thing your doing is thinking more and more in the girl as you type how you feel about her etc...
Another thing that support my point is that your going to have the same posts over and over and over... I loved this girl , she was the one, etc...
There are a lot of good posts about one-itis in the forum , I think the ones with this terrible problem can make a search and fight their problem with the help of time and other girls.
Anyway if enough people contribute and share their opinion we can see what every member wants and then make a decision based on that.

When you're eagerly sitting by with your life on hold waiting for just a phone call from a woman for example, you are way to dependent on her approval for your own self-esteem. This is extremely unhealthy and will ultimately lead to much greater problems down the road.

Indeed. I met a girl that would have easily been oneitis for me, but thanks to working to become a pua, I now can look at it objectively and not get oneitis, but still pursue her. Just typing out the points that I find interesting in some interactions stings a bit though, even when you're trying to just look at the theory behind it, so guys that are still completely AFC, would end up just sobbing on there and never move forward. Then what we'd end up with, is two sides of the forum completely opposite. One would be about being a PUA and one would be a place for AFCs to come cry and have a support group for their oneitis. That would be a bad thing. |

I totally agree with you Rye, thats why there is no section of ONe-itis in other forums...
A funny thing is that if you log in , in the mystery forum and you type about your one-itis you get a warning and you get your post moved to "The worst of" section ... I think that clear out whats my point here. |

I completely disagree with a One-Itis section.. this forum is about PUA.. one-itis is for AFCs.
A one-itis is a girl/woman/spoiled bitch/(insert names here) that you are so obsessed with having because she is The One for you that you have to have and will do anything for to have her.
In fact, PUA is really about getting women by not doing anything for them for the most part.
An AFC meets a woman that he's interested in and goes out of his way to do anything and everything for her and express his feelings and all the other sappy stuff. this is a one-itis
While a PUA may meet an HB that he ends up dating and marrying, she is not a one-itis because he did not have the obsession from the start.. it really just progressed from that point.
In the case of this thread i'm in favor of socialism and this thread should be locked from further discussion as it puts shame to everything PUA |
