I was opening a set with 3 girls last night. Their guy friend just came out from nowhere and started swearing. He said he didn't fucking know me. He told me he didn't want to fight me, because I was bigger. I wasn't even amogging him. How can a guy get so jealous when I was merely talking to his friends? Scratching head

He should be immediately winging for you

Glad you got that off your chest, but I don't think there's much to conclude here, other than it happens once in a while. Guess sounds like the gals didn't have a problem with him acting that way!?

Most guys are pretty laid back. Guys who are territorial would probably just say some smart things to make me look bad. I have never met anyone who threatened to call bouncers.

He was actually sober. He wasn't even emotional when he threatened me. It was just weird.

I have never came across any guy like him in the past. He was with 4 other girls. Three of them remained quiet. One girl took his side. I was actually surprised instead of being upset. Can someone actually stop people from talking to their female friends? How is it like to be his girlfriend?

You need to include details. This is a mess. How did you open, what happened, what convo was about, when he came in, what the girls did. Could be a lunatic, could be you annoyed his friends. Truth be told, I'd say ~95% of these situations its your fault. If chicks like you, they dont let their friends push you away.

I opened an eastern european girl by asking how many seconds there are in one year. She responded positively. She didn't appeared to be annoyed or irritated. Nevertheless, the conversation went nowhere. I open another set nearby. It was a set with 3 Italian girls. The eastern girl turned her head around, so I assumed the four of them actually knew each other. The Italian girls responded with laughter. The interaction went alright. All of a sudden there was a guy swearing behind me. He was chatting with the Eastern European girl. He said he didn't fucking know me. At that point I just wanted to number close one of the girls. The mixed race Italian girl refused to give me her number. Guy saw the opportunity and told me to fucking leave. He threatened to call bouncers, because he wasn't big enough to fight me. The mixed race girl backed her male friend up. I don't think he wanted to fight. No guy would compliment a guy for being bigger before starting a fight. I think he was desperate, so he was not making any sense at all.

I've just gone through some AMOG tactics online. The following tactic is quite similar to what the guy did to me. Of course, the author's suggestion is less provocative.

"7. CALL HIM OUT
Why not just call him out, straight up? If he’s trying to talk to your girl with you standing there, that’s just disrespectful. Say this “Yo listen dude, I appreciate the fact that you had balls to come up and talk to my girl, but she’s with me… so have a good night”. Then turn your back on him. BAM!"

IMO it really depends on the girl when it comes to winning an AMOG battle. If the girl is into you, you wouldn't even have to make an effort. All you have to do is to ignore the AMOG. If the girl is not interested in you, a "fuck off" would kill your chance to continue the conversation immediately.

Seems to me they were not enjoying your company honestly and maybe one of those girls felt annoyed and he wanted you out.

You're not really describing a cirle where you made a great impact, so after you asked the number and got refused your time was over.

If I may, try to talk more before heading for a number, especially considering numbers are pretty useless unless you build up something during the night with them which was not the case.

Some of my sets go nowhere. Does it mean I am vulnerable to harsh AMOG unless the girl is completely into me? In some sets, guys are actually friendlier than girls. Some girls didn't want to speak with me. However, their guy friends helped me out a little bit.

It doesn't always happen. Only some of the girls I approached are extremely into me. A few gave me bad responses. Majority of the responses are neutral. Few years ago, a woman ditched her fiance so she could do the countdown with me at an NYE party. There was one time a jealous teenage bumped my head because I was talking to his girlfriend. His girlfriend bumped his head after seeing it.

However, not every single woman I approached falls for me. I want to be more in control of my interactions. I don't want to take a passive stance.

My encounter with this guy actually inspires me. You can always tell a stranger to go away when you don't like being approached. I am tempted to employ this tactic. However, two questions come to my mind:

1. Would it affect the way my female friends/dates perceive me? Would I come off as being insecure, needy and possessive? Assuming that I successfully fend off some potential cockblockers, would it harm my chance with the girl in the long run?

2. How would the majority of guys react? How likely am I going to get my ass kicked? Would most people just ignore me because it doesn't worth it? Or would most of the guys respond aggressively because this is a line not to be crossed?

Any advice would be appreciated.

p.s. I wouldn't use the f word if I tell someone to go away.
