Hi everyone,
Thought I'd ask for some advice on this situation that is unusual for me. I'm at a collegiate university, finishing up my degree. There's an HB9 in my college that I intend to ask out. Usually, I avoid girls in my own college but I'll have finished my degree in two months so seeing her around after is not an issue.
I have a sort of reputation as a bad boy in my college, ostensibly because of the way I dress, my semi-asshole attitude, the times someone from my college sees me in an HB's ear in the city, and the fact that I'm scarce: I'm only ever at college when I'm volunteer bartendering or DJing at a party. Also I may have hooked up with college girls in the past
Anyway back to the girl: we've spoken briefly several times over the past year at college events etc., but I've always purposefully kept it very short to maintain the mystery and not get friendzoned, since we're always in a "familiar" setting.
Anyway, I'm fairly sure this girl likes me; let's assume this to be true without me going into details. I'm currently out of the country and even if I wasn't there's no event on in the summer at university that I would see her at to invite her out in person. (As a graduate at my uni/college, events are the only places where you see anybody.)
My question is: is there a recommended approach to asking out a girl like this via a text message? I.e., a girl that has known you over the course of a long period who probably likes you and who you haven't spoken to at length for precisely the reason of asking her out now. I'm happy to just ask her out in my own way, but was just wondering if there is some background reading on matters like this that I've missed.
Thanks guys.
