For months, I have been torturing myself about approaching, my social anxiety didn't help me at all. Saturday, will be my first attempt to get rid of my approach anxiety.

I have prepared myself for it, mentally, I know it is human to be nervous, but I tried a couple of weeks back and I was sweating and panicking.

I have prepared my mind, it isn't about getting a number, or getting anything, the only outcome I want is to approach and open, with a little conversation.

Here is my plan, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am going with my brother, none of my friends at the moment, just my brother he has been my mentor for months and gives me a kick when needed, he also knows about my social anxiety and helps me when I get all fuzzed up.

I am going to a local bar, getting there when it is busy but not too busy. For the first 10 minutes I am going to loosen up and get prepared.

As soon as I see a group, I am going in three seconds to approach and open. At the moment I am using simple opinion openers, keeping it simple, if a conversation happens I will try and force my self through the tension.

I am looking to do around 5 approachs initially. Then do more and more; go up to 10, then 20 etc.

Any advice would be appreciated, this is my biggest mile stone especially with my social anxiety.
