So....
I had a crush on a guy at the gym for like 2 years.

Now, I got the idea he liked me too. We'd make small chat.

I'd notice that if I'd use the weights next to him, or do squats, he'd look away. I could be working out right in front of him, and his neck would do a 90 degree turn all of a sudden.

It started getting funny after a while. I'd purposefully do exercises in front of him, and he'd turn his head.

So one day, I came to the gym with a gay buddy of mine and he was there. So I told my buddy to do his workout but have his eyes on my crush.

Report came back. Well, when I'd turn my back or be in a different corner of the gym, he'd look. A lot. As soon as I'd turn my body to face his direction, he'd look away. At one point, as I was exiting the gym, I purposely passed him. He didn't look at me at all. Once my back was facing him, and I was walking away, he dropped his weights, turned, and took a long hard stare. LOL.

Very vague.

He could've noticed your behaviour and be annoyed by it.

Does your gay radar ring a bell anyway?

He could also like you.

But honestly, I'm heterosexual and I stare at guys a lot in the gym just to see how they train, or sometimes I try to understand their secrets to look better myself.

I actually learned more by looking at other people in the gym (and talking with them) then by following instructors.

This make it worse as women are more rare in gyms and they are often stared by everyone.

You may just be noticing him, simply because you're paying more attention to him.

He looks a bit insecure tho.

Why don't you just ask his help for doing an exercise? Gyms are very easy places to talk with people without showing your interest.

See how it reacts.

Any shy person would do that whether they are male or female.

Put yourself in the shoes of a shy guy or a shy girl - what do you do when someone you're attracted to is close by? Your head would be full of silly worries and attachments. You would think it'd be the end of the world if the person of your affections rejected you. You would look away, maybe blush. You would run away, maybe trip on something.

This describes most people. We are all generally conditioned to be less social and more fearful than we should be. Being confident enough to talk to people we're attracted to takes practice, hence this forum.

So this is how you hit on men you find attractive huh. Lol.

Seems like fantasy talk more than hitting on IMO
