I thought it would be cool to start a thread to see what routes all of us have taken to get to where we are now. If you want, you can tell what has been helpful and maybe some things you might have done differently.
I started naturally as we all do whether good or bad lol. The first literature I actually ever read I ordered out of a skateboarding magazine when I was 14 years old. The basic principle it taught me was that hot girls don't like to have their asses kissed and to treat them like shit. It was funny because I remember instead of Mystery's hair down or up routine, this book said just to tell the girl point blank her hair looked like shit. I was semi successful with that and it got me into thinking about and realizing that there are other strategies. I was hit and miss pretty much from then on.
A lot of time went by and my buddy told me about DYD when I was about 26. I studied it and found the same theory about busting on women except it was a little less ruthless. I by the way had become less ruthless over the years too. C/F was just what I needed at the time and it got me a relationship with a really cute girl.
Out of boredom one night I looked up David D. on youtube one night and that's when my life changed. Through watching his seminars I was introduced to Mystery, Tyler Durden, and a bunch of others. I heard about forums and I started looking. Then I found out about The Game. I would flirt with The Game and the Mystery Method every time I went to the bookstore until finally I just broke down and bought them both at the same time. I'm not even quite finished with The Game yet. I probably lack 80 pages. I have barely passed over the MM although I have listened to hours of audio about it.
I would say that the absolute best material is inner game stuff. The Mystery Method works amazingly well with tight inner game. I imagine it would work well on its own too but I don't think that it would be as fulfilling that way. Girls would be attracted to your routines and bullshit and not to you. So basically my suggestion is to study inner game until you have at least some, learn the MM, sarge, and continuously work on inner game. Durden's stuff talking about social dynamics is also really valuable. Wikipedia summed his style up by saying that attraction comes from relative value that people place on each other. It's cool to be able to look across a room, pick out a group of people and know what their interaction is based on a few social cues. Something else that's helpful is to check out videos of Style on youtube and see how he interacts socially. My favorite so far is the one of him on The View. He had those women eating out of the palm of his hands. Even though it didn't come off as pickup I know that he was just working a 4 set. He was feeding them "chick crack" and they were loving every minute of it.
One more tidbit; if you have seen any of my other posts then you know this stuff is working for me. I spent a lot of time in the beginning playing WOW and listening to pick up audio!! How nerdy is that? Now I don't play anymore, not because I don't like it but because I'm too busy socially and I like women better! Cheers!!!

Real see real you feel me.

Inner game, is the game.......

PUA, yeah its about getting girls, yeah its about getting more than what we consider out own worth. But really is PUA about getting women?
or is PUA an outlook, an opinion, a set of rules to govern a society?

No its all about individualism. We are a collective of blokes who decided to stop taking what given to us, stop wasting oppurtunities and to take back what was ours to start with, our lives.

Inner game is something Ive been working on for years already, making my life balanced and as harmonyous as possible. I dont want ne beef, I dont want to be watching over my shoulder. I have a good lifestyle, im popular enough, Im good looking enough and Ive developed a sharp set of tools for performing critical surgery in the flesh and bones of this society.

It wasnt out choice tha 2000+ years of conditioning and mental (d-?)evolution would mean that our generation really would grow up sexually clueless to their own powers and abilities.

Im not just on this journey for myself, im on this to be able to show anyman and everyman they can be what they like. No1 decides except you what you do. I have no boss I have no owner I have no leader, I am the leader and I shall follow myself.

My pickup skills are only increasing due to the fact a) im single now and altho was a cheat I wouldnt frequently cheat and b) I am learning routes around sticking points.

The main article that changed my game as far as being a player to ranking myself a PUA more recently was the Gunwitch method!!! This maybe one of the most crude and direct methods and doesnt suit everyone, especially people who havent grapsed the fundamentals of The Game and Mystery Method. These books are essential eye openers, kind of like an "Introduction to....." like when you join the army, your a soldier. But some are riflemen, some are grenadiers, some are destined to be generals and commanders, some are snipers, some unarmed combat. The point is fundamentally every soldier is the same, they are here to serve queen and country, but every regiment is different and every soldier has their own skills.

Heres how I see it,

The Army = The PUA / Seduction community as a whole
The Soldier = Everyone from the mPUA, to the AFC to the Guru
The War = The game as a whole, the theatre of war, the sherades of life

Different styles of pick up cover different types of regiment.

Artillary = AFC, these guys run in first, get gunned down but some will make it
Rifleman = rAFC's, these guys are vets of days of old and use their old wisdom in the new war.
Officers = PUA's, we are the backbone of the community, we help others even though we arent Guru's, we have a commitment only to the game and to ourselves.
Generals = The Gurus, Grandmasters and Gods of the game. This is where anyone with ambition in the game wants to end up. This is where im heading to watch out.

I also see weapons as techniques

Pistol = Opener, its not lethal, isnt going to "finish them off" even if you dump most of the clip into them

Knife = Negs, hence why they call it sticking the knife in, good for sneaky / silent attacks

Assault Rifle = Sarging, cock back and spray and hope something eventually hits the target

Sniper Rifle = NLP, Body language etc, these are the skills that you really need a good base to add to as you cant just go from using basic knife attacks to cracking a headshot at 200meters. These are the advance skills that arent made for everyone, snipers are a specific mental build of person.

Grenade = Social proof, when you walk in a room does the grenade explode and make a massive explosion, this is the desired affect, you want to make an impact when you are socialising. If the grenade is deflected or deactivated your social proof needs reinforcing.

Boots = Inner game, you need to walk a good few miles in a new pair of boots to wear them in, once you have customised the boot for your fitting then the boot will be tailored to you forever.

Combats = Outer game, the combats hide the PUA in the normal AFC world, they comoflague him so he is not easily recognisable. This is outer game, hiding the imense inner game in a shell that is socially loved

Zikki that's one hell of an analogy you have going there. I really like it though.
