IC holds free introductory workshops in Marina Del Rey. Their approach is making you aware of your presence in interacting with people so that you can be yourself, but transition into your confident self.
We view videos of students participating in the program and bring up our own personal experiences, anylyzing them to learn the 3 key components of inner confidence, and discuss them in depth:
- Staying grounded.
Controlling tension.
Being vulverable.
In addition to what I learned from permaculture/yoga/health sciences on grounding. We learn some relatively simple, but effective ways to get grounded and stay in the zone while being aware of our presence in physical space.
We are creating and recieving tension when interacting with people; we discuss how to control and redirect this tension to use it to our advantage. Taking a masculine role in interactions to create sexual tension and not absorb negative tension.
Beforehand I only knew of "vulnerable" as one of the vibes to switch around. We saw how vulverability is actually the ability to be emotionally open to people; not trying to hide or front. Not being vulverable scares ppl away and prevents connection.
-----------------------------------------------
The most important thing I got from this exprerience is a new perspective on myself. I was able to find out why I fail socially, which is not being vulnerable because of emotional repression.
I got to talk to some of the instructors before and after the program and they offered valuable feedback which actually gave me some clues from which I was able to remember when I trained myself to repress my emotions, how I did that and why I never could change back since. This happened a few days ago and now I'm on the way to undoing this self-obstruction.
I would recommend this if you are into natural game and want to handle your inner game at any experience/inexperience level.
