Stand up straight and tell yourself! This is me! If you dont like it go F yourself!

Seriously, if it is a real depression you need help, psychological help. If it is just feeling down then most of the time is is all in your attitude.
People keep themselves in the state of feeling sorry for themselves because they have the right and at the moment it is the easiest way. You need to break this destructive circle and find something to focus your energy on! Like sarging...

go have the coldest shower you can have, so cold you get a headache when you are washing your hair. The entire time you are in the shower think how much it sucks then get out and think how good it is your life doesn't suck that hard.

You are a man. You do not give a fuck about anything. You have experienced the world and its terrors. You can only improve from here. so improve.
Everything you see is just a perception. Its not bad if you have a positive perception of the world.
Start over dude. List the things that you want to change the most. And do all that is in your power to achieve these mental or maybe physical goals. But dont lose yourself in the process. And start a new you.

When i'm down i always think about an positive moment in the past where i felt like i was on the top of the world. Than i try to figure how i felt at that moment. I always feel better than!

For me I find walking down the street with a pocket full of modelling balloons works :)
 it puts a smile on my face cos I can remember being a Crazy Clown - making people and kids laugh.
That simple smile starts my Serotonin levels going up, these are chemical molecules that are released into the blood stream that enhance our moods. For me that makes me walk more confidently and smile even more, even on a cloudy wet day I feel good, inner game is about that smile from within that is infectious to others.
 but if ya dont remember clowning around and have something to hold that focuses your mind in a meditative way I`m sure you can find a program like "The Big Bang Theory" (lately Howard has been reading up on PUA > http://www.megavideo.com/?v=4FVO194G ) . These or other comedy shows can even give a slight rise in your mood.
8) Hold that smile for awhile and it will be reflected back from others. :D

When I'm pissed off or depressed. I think, "well at least I'm not blind/ homeless/ in jail/ bed stricken.. etc"

Soooooooo many people have it worse off than you. Just try to remember how lucky and blessed you are for what you have.

That's definitely a good one. A hard workout generates a ton of endorphines, and if afterwards you get a good tasty protein shake (i recommend cookies n cream with bananas, maybe toss in some vanilla ice cream?) and a good hot shower, you will feel so cozy and happy afterwards nothing will be able to touch you.

Failing that, I find it helpful to go out and treat yourself to something nice to eat. There's a bagel shop around town that makes a great lox sandwich, it's a mountain of delicious cold food that leaves me both full and energized due to all the carbs. I find it's very difficult to have a bad mood on a full stomach.

any work out really. find a hobby or something else you've wanted to try to get your mind off things.

I'm really into cars, cooking and mountain biking. and when I get in to a down state of mind I usually get out and DO something and soon you'll feel great just getting out there and letting your self have fun.

when we get in a state of mind we tend to allow our selfs not to see any of the good. some times you just have to let your self have fun

The workout is a great thing to relieve stress.
Or playing with animals works wonders.

Personally, it is rare that I get in such a state now. I read Herbal's blog several months ago and a post was entitled "How to be Happy. Always" in which he detailed a small mental challenge that he did for 30 days in which every time he had a negative thought, he'd find a positive in it

For example; your car breaks down on a summers day. Instead of being irate that this has happened, he would say think "Now I have a chance to sit outside in the summer day, get some fresh air whilst waiting for the mechanic to come"

After doing this for a week or so, I found that it became a subconscious thing and that I very rarely thought completly negatively. Proof that it worked so well is that a girl who I've been on and off with, and am close friends with at the moment said "This is the first time I've ever seen you anything other than happy" when I was memorably down despite knowing her at least 11 months.

Try doing it, just for 30 days. :)

Post subject:  Wanna feel better about yourself?

The first step to take is to identify what is the reason of your sadness.

It can be simplified in 3 simple steps:

Identify the Reason: Has your girlfriend left you?

Find the solution: Reaffirmation

Take Action: Work out and feel better about yourself, donate to charity and realize how many people out there don't have anything and that you are a good person, do anything that makes you realize how good you are and that the loss belongs to the person who left you, not vice-versa.

Another common scenario that brings sadness would be change.
Let's say you move to another town (that's my case now) and you don't know anyone. You can find yourself pretty sad...

Identify the Reason: You moved and you have no friends

Find the solution: Acknowledgement and friendship and possibly some fresh girls

Take Action: Go out there, make friends, sarge, get to know the town and introduce yourself to the town. Let the world know who you are.

When I move to another town (like now) I like to have my priorities straight.
1st of all I like to have a place to live. I have that.
2nd, I like to have a job (so that I don't blow away all my savings). I am working on that, as yesterday I went to Hard Rock Café searching for a job there, which will very possibly be mine e a couple of weeks. Notice: working in cool places will increase your chances of meeting cool people and living a cool life.
3rd of all I find my friends. Because once you have a place to live and an income, your mind is free of worries and you can go conquer everything else!

Another thing that makes me feel good, and this is more of the ladies habit, is to go shopping. Everytime I treat myself to something good, like a new watch or a new pair of shoes, I feel great! ! !
But that only lasts like for a week.
True happiness is found within, being grateful with what you have and following your bliss!

If you are doing what you love, happiness will follow up with you!

Go out there and make it happen!

Peace out!

"Don't curse the darkness, light a candle." Don't know who it's by, but pretty much look or find something to be happy about and don't focus on the bad.
