Just in case we might be using different terminologies for the same ideas. The walk away pitch in sales: "Hey, I got this beauty right around the back. Let me get the keys." - Then walk, walk, walk away. The walk away pitch in PU, "Hey, check out the bar, two empty seats." - Then, walk, walk, walk away. The take away pitch in sales: "Well, this might not be the right car for you. Let me show you something that might suit you better." (You TAKE AWAY the pricey sports car and then show him a border-line economy car . . . especially with his girlfriend watching.) The take away pitch in pick up: "I don't believe in hooking up on the first date." (While you're rubbing her thigh.) |

I've been working F2F sales for a global charitable organization, well, it's not really sales, just getting people to give monthly donations to a good cause. My job is to cold approach as many people as possible out on the streets, so it's the perfect training ground for daygame. I'm doing well overall and my boss is happy. When I'm at my job I can look a person straight in the eyes, walk right up to them and greeet them confidently. I still find it difficult to make the switch however but I'm part of a pua group and I like to meet up with a friend to help push me and encourage me. I feel like what I need to learn is to deal with things going bad as much as possible, so that I will overcome my fear and be able to relax. We had a discussion about this with a friend and he said "embrace the awkwardness". He also spoke about a concept called "massive action", it means you should just approach like crazy, even go into situations that seem completely hopeless. What do you guys think? |
