Basically, go from Topic A, skip Topic B, start Topic C.
It's all about free association. Topic A will make you think of Topic B. So if the group is talking about Power Rangers, you may think of Ninja Turtles. Don't talk about Ninja Turtles. Topic B will make you think of Topic C. Ninja Turtles makes you think of art. Start talking about Topic C.
What you can do is run A to C over and over and over again. Just keep it going until you've gone over a hundred topics. Next time you're at a loss for conversation you can just A to C it and start a new thread.

One of my roomates is so bad at conversing that when we are talking about something and I try to revisit the topic sometimes as little as 1 minute later and only 1 thread apart, he doesn't have any clue what I'm talking about or why I started talking about that. I'd recommend not using it on stoners..... _________________ "The 'Brick Walls' are there to allow you to prove how badly you want something!" ~ Randy Pausch
