I like to play a game to build rapport. Its worked well, especially over the phone where you could get awkward silences. The game is called the 3 second game.
Basically you tell the girl that there's this game that you love to play with people you just met and that it consists of asking each other questions and having only 3 seconds to answer it. Explain to the girl that there is a 3 second rule because then you don't have an opportunity for your conscious mind to hide secrets and rationalize. So basically your subconscious will spew out your darkest, most embarrassing secrets. Everything has to be spontaneous. So start from simple questions like, "What's your favorite color?" to "If you could travel to any place in the world, where would it be? But why?" When the girl gives her answer, you can either agree, disagree or just rail her for being whatever. It's a good way to elicit values, to build rapport, and to be cocky funny. |

Hey, cool game man, that's a great idea for rapport and general interesting conversation. Thanks for sharing, I'll field test it and let you know how it goes. |

Lol, I came up with it myself. It was while my guy friend and I were walking back from the gym and I just sort of came up with it on the spur of a moment. I realized what a good game it could be with girls and then tried to play it with them. It turned out to be pretty good. |

In one episode of Friends, Phoebe uses this on Joey. Never thought about implementing this infield! |

| Set up any other rules? ie. no asking the same question that's been asked before? might make it a bit tougher, but at least it could be more exciting. And as with another game you ask the questions you don't want to get asked first. |
