Ive come to realise that i have a rather good singing voice. I wanted to know if singing can act as a DHV. one night i was sarging with my wingman who told a set that i had an amazing voice. One of the girls in the set said she could sing well also so i thought it would be a good idea to pick a song and sing it together. After i got a huge number of compliments from girls saying that i had an amazing voice. I was reluctant to sing as i thought it would look like i was trying to prove myself however it came off as a good DHV

I frequent a Karaoke bar with a good friend of mine, and wing B-Sweet. He does a great job singing! Myself on the other hand will do it just for some fun here and there, when its not busy. I find after singing or after he sings we have some more social proof. You've just proved, A I have the balls to get up there and do it. B. I am good at something that most people are not.

When I come off stage and I'm getting fist pumps, and high fives you know women are watching, and they open up when I ask them, "Hey what you are singing tonight?" As a typical situational opener to use there.

Basically, it falls to the old...."If you got it flaunt it!" "If you don't got it, hide it!"

Kareoke is a great way of DHV. Shows you've got balls, especially if it's a really cringeworthy song you're singing. Imagine singing Another Level - Freak Me. Shocked

I love singing, but sometimes i don't do kareoke for fear of sounding crap, as i have an average singing voice. Can nail a lot of Westlife songs though. Wink

Westlife! Im dissapointed in you Ace.

I've always thought singing can DHV, but sometimes it can make you look like a nob.

Ive got quite a good voice so its good when i sing the RIGHT songs, but there are some places i will refuse to do karioke.

Dont you hate that feeling you get when first get up on stage, no matter how much beer i drink it still never goes away, i have rapped and sang in front of some big crowds though.

What about stand up comedy? Maybe they would think im too nuts to be potential BF

Thinking back to when i was 14, i was doing a youth project type thing. We had a party for the guys and girls, who were in seperate youth groups.

Girls kept picking Westlife, so i thought 'Fuck it' and joined in on one song. Showed i can sing when i want to. Later, a young girl about 10 or so picked Queen Of My Heart bless her, and she started the song singing quietly, and trailed off into silence looking petrified, so i jumped in and sang it with her. She gave me a little hug at the end. Cool

No doubt that DHV to the rest of the girls there. And yeah, i die on my arse on occaision, can remember singing Boom! Shake The Room with a mate on a resort representative residential away with the college, he was drunk and started going brap brap brap and ruining it completely, making us both look moronic.

Best thing is not to rely on dutch courage, and try to interact with the crowd. And if you're a natural performer, even better.

Just like Ace said if a girl is singing on her own and shes getting all embarrassed just join in with her. even if your voice is bad its still a DHV.

I cannot imagine anything better than singing Westlife in a Karaoke bar! Oh yes I can, singing a duet (romantic) with your Pivot! Girls love that!

I think ace and arsenal hit it best. You don't have to be good at it, though it helps a lot, you just have to be doing it.
I went to a gay bar on monday, ton's of straight girls go there for anyone who didn't know, I was with a girl already and she negged me into doing it. I said ok, like it "ain't no thang" and picked a song I could get into. I when on there and took the mic like i was a rock star. I think with a bit more peacocking I could have done anything. I sang like shyte but danced like shyte as well and all the girls were cheering. Just had to do it like i didnt can and like they should only be so honored to hear me. Also if you do a romantic duet with any girl, the place just melts in your hand.
