These are all pretty similar..here they are.
1. HB: Do you think you're cool or something?
2. HB: Haha You're cool(said sarcastically)
3. HB: Haha that was funny(said sarcastically after a joke)
How do I respond to these? -BTW I'm a noob AFC. My first post too!

these are some annoying shit tests and i understand ur trouble with them
these kind of tests will fade as u get more natural with ur jokes and material
i would say u need to work on ur delivery of whatever ur getting these replies to - or get some new material...

The idea is to retort and then move quickly into a DHV or routine unphased by her bitchy shit test

this is a statement not a question so it's easier. You can choose to ignore it and change threads to try a new routine etc. to get her to lose the attitude
or confront her on it somewhat like above.

Ace has a lot of good tips there, so take note. There are many ways to handle these situations, it all depends on what style you have and what works best for you. Personally, i think cocky funny works because you can become much more personable if you have the ability to make fun of yourself, a lot of people say that takes true confidence. It works for me because i am more laid back, confident and just go with the flow.
Ace takes a more serious approach, but it's more routine, which makes it easier to reproduce each time this occurs. cocky funny requires a little more improv and boldness each time, so if you're new at this and are working on sticking to routines and getting patterns, i'd have to agree with ace, because his way is much more anylitical and strategic, therefore easier to think of solutions before hand and keep them in the back of your head.

1) "No, I just think YOU need a jacket."
2) "Oh really? I don't believe it."
3) "You must find EVERYTHING funny, then." |
