I've been reading David D stuff for about 2 yrs. It's help me overcome my fear of approaching women for the most part.. (still have a tuff time appraoching set of 3 or more)..anyhow after dating i eventually ended up in a ltr (yr) once it ended.. (wont go into detail, but it ended in bad terms) i moved to California and just wanted to start over and again. now after sometime focusing on myself and my career am ready to start dating again.
I've approach a women at the bar, walmart and at work. and they all said they were seeing someone or give me "let me get your number" line.
but my question is this
in the past two yrs i notice after approaching about 50 women i've gotten about 20 numbers. out of those 20. 15 of them i end up going on dates with.
is their anyway i could improve my results?
i prefer to meet women outside the bar seen.. such as the mall,gym,casino, tennis club ect
my approach is very direct ... example
i see a beautiful girl that i want to talk to
i walk over and say
me:hi
her: hi
me: can i ask you a quick question?
her: sure
me: are you single?
they usually answer yes,no,or why..which i have a rebutall for all 3 answers
her:yes
me: cool, well you know what? their is this guy that i know that would like to get to know you?
her: really? how does he look like
me: his tall, funny, and gorgeous..matter affect i think i might be hooking you up
her: (laughing) oh really?
me: yes..well, i dont have much time so let me get your number and when his not that busy ill make sure that he calls you so you could take him out for drinks
she either responses okay, or she asks for my number since its obvious that am talking about myself.
is their anything i should change up? that could improve my results? or should i try a different approach completely?
if this subject has been posted in the past i do apologizes.. am a new memeber and did browse on this forum for a good hr before i posted up this question.

What happens when you get the number and you call and then she meets you and finds out it was you all along? That could be a little creepy. You are not being confident enough in your approach. I revised your version a bit, let me know if it works.
me:hi
her: hi
me: I have/Heres a quick question? (Don't ask if you can ask the question)
her: sure
me: Where is your boyfriend? (asking if she is single is a little intimidating and straightforward)
her: I don't have one
me: That's a shame, but I might be able to help you out.
her: really? how so
me: Well there's this great guy and he's single. I know him really well, in fact you could say we are twins. He's tall, funny, and gorgeous..matter of fact, i think i might be hooking you up
her: (laughing) oh really?
me: yes..well, i dont have much time (take out your phone and hand it to her) here type in your number and i'll make it happen.
she either responses okay, or she asks for my number since its obvious that am talking about myself.
If she asks for your number, say "Sorry that's not going to work out. I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to calling girls."
Smile and thank her and walk away because when a girl does that she generally won't call. If she gives you her number then great. Good luck bro! |

i appreciate your advice, but when am speaking with a lady (body language) she knows that am talking about myself 99.9 percent of the time. (sly smile..ect) and when the women gives me "let me get your number instead" i usually respond by saying "dont you think its a little to early to be playing hard to get?" they either give in or they dont.. but i never give a women my number to save face. since women dont call guys.
i was just thinking if it was best to go up to a women, give her a complement find out if she's single and get her number within 3 min.. i just know everything i read online is always saying break the ice with a joke, or a cocky funny comment.. but i just want to make simple for myself and not feel like i have to have good joke everytime i want to approach a women.. it would just lead into more excuses for myself NOT to approach..
