This is a report on the course I attended in London run by ace and his friends jim, blue and perry.

The course is billed as 6-9pm, frday and saturday; but be careful, that's only the classroom time. The fieldwork goes on till 12pm, and that is absolutely essential. So don't have dinner booked with granny at 9.30.

There were about 10 students attending.

The course was held at a room at the Lse in Portugal st, near holborn.Make sure you take your bottle of water and biscuits as there are not too many shops nearby and you don't want the 10 min break turning into a 30 min shopping expedition.

The course is planned and executed neatly and proffessionally. You get an understanding that the speakers know what they are talking about. There is no waffle or question dodging. They use slide presentations and all the speakers talk effectively and confidently.

Although it runs over 2 days, this is strictly a foundation course. As a total newbie I was surprised how much there is to it. It effectively covers the 'A' part while giving you an overall understanding of the comfort and seduction phases. It also covers winging.

I was a little apprenhensive before the course, but was soon comfortable with their friendly manner.

After 9pm, we split up into teams and went for the field work. I can tell you I was terrified! To make matters worse I had just come from work; I hadn't shaved and had bo, (no time to shower!). I looked like crap and felt my chances of achieving anything was remote.

Blue mentored me and opened a 2 set on the street, giving me instructions to come in soon. I spent the next 10 mins talking to 2 attractive aussie girls who seemed happy to talk to me.

Next step he opened up a 2 set infront of a pub; I spent the next 20 min talking to a slovenian girl who was overjoyed to talk to me.

Now the adrenalin kicked in. When he asked me to open a 2 spanish set, I didn't waver. I talked for ages to a dark hair nurse while blue efortlessly removed her friend by dancing with her in the street to covent garden's musician. My first example of what a good wing does. And so on.

In the field work the guys gently prod and encourage you to do things you wouldn't normally do, they push you outside your comfort zone and you are a better person for it.

To put all this simply, four total strangers gave their time and effort to help me overcome my failings, and give me a set of skills that to me were life changing.

And they didn't ask anyone of us for a penny. They did all this for purely selfless motives.

So guys * I take a low bow of gratitude* in my books you have earned enough good karma for the rest of your lives. May what you have given come back to you a thousand fold.

Thanks guys.

I had the pleasure of assisting Ace, Jimmy and Perry in one of their courses and yes, this is indeed a very good starting point for all of folks wanting to finally break through the mental barrier and start playing this game.

Glad it helped you, el jimbo!

sad I haven't met you!

I enjoy your posts.

A good tip for the boys is to give their students a couple of print outs to take home with them.

As with most courses, you start to forget the moment you leave the classroom.

el jimbo, it is a shame you missed Falcon, he's been my mentor and wing ever since I got into this and his teachings are very visible in what I try to pass on. I had the honor of winging him for his first bootcamp in Poland last week - ah, what can I say, the guy's a legend.

Giving out printouts - great idea. Are you thinking of one page of loosely jotted down ideas or about a 10 page summary of what we teach?

Sounds quite good. And where you were made life a lot easier. Congratulations with that.

A simple bunch of sheets stapled together, diagrams and essentials.

It stops people needeing to take notes, and refreshes their knowledge after the course.

Nothing complicated.

Yes, I would love to meet falcon sometime, strangely I seem to get on well with polish guys!

Sabe, yes! Covent garden is target rich. With a good wing you can have the time of your life!
