Here's what I'm tired of: we are not a small group of people, PUA is a fairly large hobby of men these days, it has become part of pop culture with things like The Game and the VH1 show, so we can't all be rich powerful men. That being said, I'm not bother by that fact, but by the fact that some people are trying to make other people think that is the only way to impress women, to be rich, or be alone.

Well I'm gonna tell you, it's bullshit.

You don't need to be rich, or a high up exec. in order to make women want you. PUA is about teaching men the skills necissary for attracting and keeping women of value (the ones that apparently are such fantastic people that they don't give a shit whether you are a great guy, unless you drive a Benz and park it beside your Jaguar). This is the thing, the vast majority of men out there are AFCs, this is why some women are gold digging, unfaithful bitches, but that doesn't mean that they are gonna automatically be like that with you. If you're an actual PUA and you have the skills to make a women truly attracted to you and don't bore her and fulfill all her needs (that doesn't mean being pussy whipped, just that women HAVE needs that need to be fulfilled for them to be completely faithful, such as good deep emotional connection [sometimes this means helping them through problems in their life] and amazing sex) then she is gonna be completely faithful and satisfied with a decent sized house, a car and a "few other toys" as Saq put it. She can even get past you being an ugly bastard if you are good enough, so she is gonna look past how big your bank account is.

PUA is not just for the well to do, it isn't an elitist society, it is for the masses, the average man and anyone is capable of it. To believe otherwise is merely shooting yourself in the foot and you might as well quit as soon as you're done reading this sentence.

You have to realize, though, that pick-up is going to require a financial investment. You don't have to have bling hanging off of every finger to succeed, but you do need to be able to afford new clothes, cover at the bars, occasional drinks, and dates of various kinds. At the very least, you need to be able to afford your own coffee at Starbucks (which is a huge investment all by itself).

Also, if you're not making as much money as you could, ask yourself Why not?" When I changed jobs, it was for a three dollar an hour raise. That's changed my whole financial outlook, and it's at a job I actually like (selling comic books rocks; selling puppies does not; puppies are little shit factories).

I set aside about $60 a month for "Fun money." That's my cover, soft-drinks, coffee for second meets, plus the other hobbies I have (Magic: The Gathering is fucking expensive, guys). Your mileage may vary, but I wouldn't suggest less than that. On top of that, you need to budget for clothes, grooming products that don't suck, peacocking items, and the other accouterments. This is not a cheap hobby, guys.

The purpose of this post was more for the new people that might be reading posts and getting jaded, because a jaded PUA isn't much of a PUA at all. It's also to remind some of the guys that have been around for a bit that just because they are now getting what they want from women, that they shouldn't start thinking about them in certain ways, just because the vast majority of people aren't what you're looking for, doesn't mean the good ones aren't out there. If you could get a good one any day of the week, then you wouldn't keep sarging if you're doing it to get the girl you want to settle down with, like some guys are in it for.

As for what Monkey said, it is completely true. That's why I said that you should be able to provide a house, car and some assorted toys (if she's long term, then she's gonna be helping out with this, so you don't need to be fortune 500). Working at Starbucks, or 7-11 isn't gonna earn you any points, because you're gonna be constantly struggling to get by and one of the things that is attractive about a PUA, is that he has his own shit handled and he doesn't struggle from paycheck to paycheck and need to borrow money or have IOUs all the time. You need enough money to take care of yourself and maybe a bit to treat her occassionally, but you don't need to be making 100k a year is the point.

sometimes you lose track of what you're looking for. bc everything is so attainable you don't know what you want anymore or your always looking for something just a little bit better. maybe i am just talking about what is happening to me. :/

P.S. don't forget all the books you have to buy, seminar fees, cigarettes, and condoms.

Don't get it twisted. Magic the Gathering can be the shit. Smile I personally don't play but I do enjoy watching my other friends get into it.

But a good amount of people end up losing what their original goals were before and start to lose themselves in the process...Just depends on how good your mental state of health is. Once that happens, just need to take a step back, re-evaluate things, and enjoy your life! Then once you've calmed yourself down, you can get back into it.
