Been in relationship for 17 years, we have a home together in her name. She broke up and is on tinder, I am trying to work things out, but its been 2 months... I cant afford to move out plus I invested in home...so living as roomates which sucks...The pain of her going out hurts a lot...
I am a attractive man and get smiles from women a lot...

Recently,I spoke with a pretty nurse at my work, she mentioned she had a zit that was hurting her on her face, I said it looks good to me, she said You just complemented my zit, I said, I was talking about the rest of her and she smiled and said I was so nice, I felt she liked me but I couldn't close or follow up afterwards, I guess I planted a seed? I don't work with her I just visit her facility.

This past weekend the same thing happened to me. I was at this dance helping with the silent auction and I would catch this hot 20-something looking at me. I would look at her and she would look away quick. When she walked near me, she would looking out of the corner of her eyes. She was helping me break down tables and her back was turned trying to catch me looking at her.

What should I have said to break ice? Where do I go from there?

If you're trying to get her back (which I think you are) then you should not only give up on that idea, but you should read my thread in the relationship section about ex girlfriends and apply what you read.

However, you've got other problems which I won't attempt to advise you on dealing with because I'm far from experienced enough to do so... plus I know Heywood usually gives some brilliant advice, providing you're willing to take action and the language barrier isn't an issue - he only speaks fluent "fuck what everybody else thinks"
