I actually had experience with stuff like this, and contrary to what most guys here say, it DOES work.
However, there is a twist to it.
My experience with using it the first time was when I was in this club, and saw 2 girls standing there talking
to each other.
I walked over there, and said to both of them, "Hey, give me your hands." And I just held up my hands up
so they can put their hands on mine.
To my surprise, they did, and I took two steps back, and leaned on the wall. And then I said, "how's your night
going?"
I was too surprised that they responded really well. I was like, "holy shit, this actually works."
The key really was in my conviction. I wasn't nervous or tense, I was really relaxed and confident.
It's very easy to come of as too serious as you do this, so I found that it works best if you can use that
to open the conversation, and then add a smile or a wink to it.
It really depends on the character that you are, make sure this is authentic to you. I am more serious by
nature and direct, which works for me. Find your own style and play with it.
