I find I have a hard time holding eye contact while walking by people or in dining areas. What are some ways to practice maintaining eye contact with a person from across the room and how long is too long for holding this. Thank you

try taking a walk and holding eye contact with each and every women who walks past you, hold the eye contact till the women looks away, or starts smiling, as you practice this, you will instinctively know how to make good eye contact. and always focus on looking at one eye not both eyes, narrow your focus.

Practice on the street, three times a day, to make eyes with a chick for at least 3 seconds.

For any intermediate, they would think this is lame.

But after two or three weeks, you'll get over it.

It has to do with self-esteem and experience.

Do not stare, "just a second longer" can be a nice non verbal glance.

Of course, if you're getting some serious eyes, maybe you should just go over and say hello.
