Had a fantastic weekend.
Friday-
When Amanda got off of her MCAT (went decently), we went and saw Secret Life of Pets, which was meh in terms of quality, but sufficiently entertaining.
Afterwards, I took her out to eat to celebrate her finishing her MCAT and my big product launch to her favorite restaurant, and then we went to her friend's party afterwards. Me, another dude, and 6 girls. Lulz. It was filled with drinking games, me binging on edamame, and Just Dance.
On a side note, it's recently come to my attention that edamame and other soy products may be fucking up my testosterone levels. Not completely sure on this, just heard it from one guy, who is apparently a reputable source.
I'm drinking soy milk since I'm lactose intolerant. Is anyone an authority on this? Should I switch to almond milk?
Saturday-
Amanda and I meet my boi Mark and his fiance Hannah for a short but steep 4 mile hike up Arthur's Rock. It was fun, good to get out and about and moving.
In the evening, we went to one of my guitar heroes Tommy Emmanuel's concert. It was spectacular. Inspiring, to say the least.
Sunday-
Amanda and I joined a huge meetup group of more than 30 people to go tubing down the Poudre River.
It was ice cold, turbulent, and crazy, but it was a lot of fun. I banged up my butt on a rock pretty good. Amanda loved it so much she wants to take her friends on it again.
In the afternoon, we came back, took a shower together, and then made love several times before heading to see a movie directed by one of my close high school friends.
Have you ever seen the music video Turn Down for What?
Well the Asian guy in that video's name is Dan Kwan, and he directed a series of music videos as well as the new feature film, Swiss Army Man. I'm actually going as a groomsman in his wedding in August in Big Sur, which is gonna be sick.
The movie was fantastic. Everyone go see it
Back in the lab today, and back to the gym.
Gotta take a moment to take a deep breath, and refocus myself today.
Business
The launch went well on the first day, then kinda died off in terms of sales on the next couple days, which is to be expected. Tomorrow is the last day, and hopefully scarcity / urgency should kick in and we'll get a big day in terms of sales.
The next few projects...
Recording the next bridge video, to go from Lead Magnet (pitch the click to bridge video) --> Bridge Video (more content, plus hero story), pitch the click to VSL --> VSL for flagship product.
Redoing the autoresponder sequence.
I'm thinking of having the first email point to the lead magnet, the second email to point to the bridge video, and then the third to repitch the VSL again. So there's a bunch of opportunities for them to snag the flagship product.
After I get that done, then I'm going to start running PPC from Youtube to the Lead Magnet, and assess the numbers to see what my next step is.
Either way, I'm thinking that my next product is going to be called something like "Confidence" or something. It's going to be at a price point of about $77-$97, and it's going to be entirely video based, my first video based product.
The content is going to be body language, eye contact, and vocal tonality stuff.
Gonna start outlining the general set up, because there's a lot of material I want to cover, and I want to organize it in a coherent, digestible way and really make this a high quality product.
Health-
I've been a little harsh on my body. Butt is sore from tubing. Have a jacked up finger from basketball. Have a messed up left foot from basketball. Should take some time doing something not crazy physical to heal all these parts of my body, but I really just love basketball too much. Every time I go to lift, I end up picking a ball up and just shooting a bit, and then I inevitably end up playing more games and re-injuring.
Going to focus on being more consistent with my lifts. I'll still play bball because I love it, but I'll try to replace more of the cardio with swimming to heal.
Goals for Lifts-
Get back to where I was at before I stopped going consistently.
Bench - 180
Squats - 205
Overhead - 100
Pullups - 3 x 13
Deadlifts - 270
Curls - 37.5
Not anything terribly ambitious or anything, but once I hit those goals, I can start thinking about the next level in terms of gainz.
For cardio, just swim and heal. Gotta get new bball shoes so my foot doesn't keep getting fucked up.
Relationships-
Everything with Amanda is going better than ever.
I've been slacking on these weekly dinners, mostly because I've been spending a lot of time with Amanda, and my standards for who I hang out with have risen.
I've found myself less interested in hanging out and being social with most people, which might be slightly poisonous of a mindset.
Two of my closest peeps here, Allison and Jesse, have both moved. The guys I should target to spend more time with now I think includes Zee (knows a ton of people, super cool guy), Morgan (one of my closest buddies, in Boulder), and I'm going to try to join an Internet Marketing meet up to see if I can meet some knowledgeable people there and build connections.
That's all for now. Lets GO.
