Do you think you could sell a car to a random person on the street as opposed to the cash ready customer coming on to the car dealership?
This is like talking to a woman that has been eyeing you up for hours as opposed to approaching her cold.

I know it's a movie and I'm sure it was a numbers game for every sale, but if you can't sell to a customer ready to buy, then I don't think it gives you some superior skill. Interacting with customers and filling up their coffee is probably more beneficial in my opinion.
If you work at home and you're still a little socially awkward then of course, anything that involves people are going to help
