I want to know how you suggest getting back a former friend with benefits that I haven't seen for a while. I'm interested in the theory in general as well as a specific case of a girl I used to date about two years ago.
I met this girl at a bar, kissed her, got her phone number there (my game was brilliant that night, far better than usual). We started dating a week later or so. Had a few dates then starting sleeping together. This lasted a month or two. Then my car died and I had no money so I was stuck at home, and her car died at about the same time. So we stopped seeing each other and I never really made much attempt to maintain communication. When I got my life in order, I never really started talking to her again.
A couple weeks ago, she texted me asking me do a modeling shoot with her. I've done a bit of fitness modeling work, so I have some experience. I said sure and gave her some advice and caught up a bit over the phone. I asked a few photographers I knew if they would be interested in shooting us, and one said yes that she would call me, but she never did. So I never called the girl back. A couple days ago, like two weeks later, she asked me about it and I said I would try the photographers again. Then I asked her if she wanted to meet for coffee one of these days. She said yes and I set a date, which is a couple days from now.
I'd love to hook up with this girl again. Everything seems to be going great at the moment, but I have a history of screwing things up when I'm overconfident.
Any advice, either general or specific? I've had a lot of these dating-but-not-official relationships lately, many of which ended with the girl breaking it off because she started getting attached and I didn't want a relationship. Thanks!
