Just as I was about to fully immerse myself in the PUA concept, a little show came out called “The Pickup Artist”. Now, although I don’t hold it against Mystery for doing whatever it takes to further his cause and his career as a PUA, in my opinion that show turned the PUA lifestyle in to a pop-culture cliché of sorts. Hell, they even did an act on Saturday Night Live with Bill Clinton dressed up as Mystery.

Of course the greats like Mystery and Style would probably argue that the PUA lifestyle went mainstream years ago, but personally I think it was at least slightly underground before the show handed it to every person with a cable subscription.

The reason I bring this up, is I am trying to think of original ways to peacock without women immediately identifying me as someone attempting to pickup? Seriously, that freakin’ show had ratings in the millions. I feel like the second I do anything to peacock, any girl is gonna look at me and think “Oh God, another wannabe pickup artist… another wannabe Mystery” and just dismiss me without taking the bait.

Now I know you’re going to say that it’s confidence that matters… that it’s how you carry yourself… that there’s other ways to peacock, etc… but seriously, has anyone noticed a difference in their peacock methods since Mystery became an international icon?

I just want to learn from other’s mistakes. Have you ever been bagged on for painting your nails black? Do you even bother sporting a furry hat anymore? Have you ever been to a club and been one of 20 other dudes trying to peacock? If so, what tactics do you stay away from now? What are the new an inventive ways you’ve been able to peacock without it being totally obvious you’re a PUA?

Thanks,

Ok, my solution to the problem... Lets say the club contains 1000 people, 500 girls and 500 guys. How many of them do you think has ever heard about the Game or seen Mystery on TV? 10%? that is counting high. So 50 girls and 50 guys. How many remember anything from it? lets say half (we get so much amazing stuff presented to us all the time that we forget most of it, to most people mystery is only another playboy guy going into one ear and out of the other). Style has made a "hype" out of the Game but people forget fast and we stay.
How many of those guys have actually gone into the game far enough to start peacocking? (nah I´ll do it next week... etc) Lets say 10% again.
That would mean, 2.5 guys in the club are peacocking and 25 girls who remember the concept of Mystery.
One of those 2.5 guys is you the other should be your wing, the unsuspecting girls are 500-25=475.
You and your wing can share about 150 middle sized sets.

Peacocking is not just about being the MOST outrageous looking guy (even though you sometimes are) but standing out above average. Peacocking details are useful for breaking the ice so HBs have something neutral to talk about when they want to meet you.

I do not stop using any of my pecocking stuff (yes black nails and hat like mystery, etc etc.) until I get tired of it. So one girl in one set thinks Im pathetic, tough luck, I get into the next and well, her loss! The embarassment is not global, most people in the club does not even know you exist (yet Wink ) they did not see it, as long as you don´t make a scene.

Right now, Im dressing like a rockstar.

Cheers

The other night I learned that that successful peacocking is a combination of attitude, DHV and style. For example, I've always been one with distinct taste, but would never wear what I wanted because I feared what people thought about me. Lately I've been working on my inner game and decided that the next time I went out, I'd stand out. I'm not one to really wear cowboy hats or whatnot, but tried something really simple that stands out as a starting point.

The other night I was wearing jeans, a white grey-striped shirt with a grey buttoned cardigan over it. Pretty plain. Then I added a red skinny tie to stand out. I must have had at least 10-15 girls grab my tie as I was walking past them, craving attention. This is where the mix of attitude comes in. Whenever they complimented me, I just took the compliment with an air of cockiness and confidence as if to say "yeah, yeah I know" without saying it verbally. When other girls saw me getting molested by girl after girl, it made them come approach me instead of me making the effort to open (which I am still having trouble with). Essentially, peacocking led to being noticed, which led to DHV, which led to pre-selection.

I don't have an outlandish style or anything, but keeping my clothes simple, with one stand-out item has worked best for me. Now it's just a matter of incorporating it into my everyday dress.

The other night I wore dark red suspenders out. It was very 1980s Wall Street, but I can't tell you how many girls came up to me wanting to pull on them or play with them. I didn't feel too ridiculous, and it was definitely enough to stand out from every other dude in the bar wearing jeans and a button-down.

So I found a new way to peacock that has been 100% effective! I will share with you all but do me a favor and don't bust this out in San Diego! Smile

Quite simple: Hand cuffs. Take a pair of hand cuffs and attach them to your front two belt loops. They will hang right below your belt line and draws complete attention to your crotch, haha. They are totally edgy and it seems to bring out the inner slut in every girl I talk to. It creates almost instant keno with girls because they immediately ask about them and want to touch them. I simply respond "that's just in case you get bad"... or something of the like in a very playful yet suggestive way. I might follow that with a neg if I think the girl can take it.

It would blow your fucking mind to see where girls take it from there, haha. The best part is they almost always turn around and get their friends to come over and look. I disrupt other sets and lock the girls in to mine. It's totally alpha male and provide social proof to anyone in the area.

Try this one out!

How many of these girls are attractive? Probably more weighted to the "I've heard that line before" ones that will remember the show?
