So I have a weird thing.. sometimes I'm in a good mood, feel really confident and start convos with girls. I'm funny, laid back, and natural
But some days, like today, I just feel really out of it, zoned out, and deep in thought. If someone tries to talk to me on a day like this, I lose the power of speech and end up making a really weird first impression.
There's a girl in my class I noticed lookin at me for a while, and we made eye contact before. Today we ran into each other on the way to class and started chatting. She asked me about another class we had together, indicating that shes noticed me. When class started the convo died cuz we had to be quiet, and I zoned out for most of the time as usual. When it was time to go, she was still interested and walked with me for a minute, but I had to walk in the other direction, so I left, told her I'd see her next time. Now I feel like an asshole cuz I didnt introduce myself and was generally not myself. Now shes in my class tomorow as well and I'm going to sit next to her just for the hell of it (even though I may have made an awkward first impression). Any thoughts or suggestions? |

Well the fact that she is actually talking to you is a good thing, another positive factor is that she has noticed you in other classes, and u have made eye contact. Dont be worried about your 1st impression, you can still get a name out of her.
There are pleanty of things to open with during class... ie isn't this teacher/subject so boring/cool/rubbish...
A more cocky funny approach could be to sit down next to her.. and kinda pretend to only just notice her after you sit down and say.. hey....are you stalking me?... Everywhere I go you always seem to be there.. and I dont even know your name... (its all gotta b said in a semi serious-jokey manner) You can move on from this and say.. 'i generally like to get to know my stalkers... how about lunch/hanging out etc'...
Basically do whatever you feel is appropriate to the situation, also whatever you are comfortable with.
I find im not too dissimilar from you, I get those days when i just zone out, especially when in lectures. One talking point with this girl could simply be 'Hey.. do you ever get those days where you just seem to zone out.. and u kinda go into your own world, and contemplate stuff?' U can explain how on those days.. ppl almost are like zombies etc. |
