| So i was sarging at the mall yesterday, and when i approach a 2 set with can i try a magic trick on you opener, they said they were scared and basically walked away from me. I just can't understand why they did that. I didn't look scary or anything; i was wearing a polo and jeans. |

I don't consider "Hey, can I try a magic trick?" as a good opener. I know I would be kinda creeped out if someone said that to me while I was shopping.
Try to use some other opener next time, and use that magic trick after. |

| you are at the mall... ask them for shopping advices (sister's bday etc).. then say "hey you guys wanna see a magic trick" |

Yep, open with something innocent.
One of my favourites is that (if I have bought some clothes) is, "Do you think my bum will look big in these?".
This really breaks the tension and gets them comfortable with you (by discussing a topic they are likely to like talking about)
Imagine if some guy came up to you when walking down the street and said "Lemme show you something", you'd think what a weirdo. That is the vibe you're giving off. Get the set comfortable around you first, then do your trick. |

| put yourself in their position, your a girl.. lets say your a HB 8, sry.. but lets get realistic, some guy comes to you and a friend and says," can i show you a magic trick" How would you react.. your at a mall, come up with something new.. and maybe show them your magi trick later.. |
