Hey I'm new to the game and need a good place to start. I've been trying to get myself out there and build my confidence and open a lot of sets but it doesnt seem to be working. Any beginners tips?

I trained myself to go from a social hermit reading philosophy all alone at college to a super social person -- my ideas might help!

The first thing I did was: join improv, make friends who were more social than I was and learn from them. I asked them a lot of questions, particularly focusing on how they were able to strike a convo with random strangers.

Once you're comfortable with being a "social butterfly" things become a whole lot easier!
