I don't know if this question has been address before (sorry if it's the case).

I was wondering what would be good ways of opening girls/building attraction while I work. I work in a liquor store, mainly behind the counter (cashier), but sometimes on the floor when I get asked for advice on wine. I find this to be a tricky situation, as I don't want to go too far on the negging. But what would you guys recommend to making girls attracted and n-closing them?

(PS peacocking is out of the question as I have to wear an ugly shirt provided by the store)

Thanks!

First think I would do would be to talk to the boss about the dress code. Let him know that you would like to wear some nicer clothes to work and that you think it might help improve sales- people are more likely to buy an expensive bottle of wine from someone dressed well then from a clerk. I'm not talking peacocking here- just some nice shoe, maybe jeans or pants and a dry cleaned shirt go a long way. If you don't already know a lot about wines I would start reading up. You could DHV with your 'wine expertise'... ( I hear the 2004 Chateau de Pibarnon Bandol is a amazing...)

Getting numbers shouldn't be too bad- if your talking to a hb about some wines drop something like 'too bad we won't be able to share this bottle'. Behind the counter can be a bit more difficult. If its slow you might want to pull this move... After you ring up the HB say, 'we're doing a quick survey care to participate?' Have a clipboard handy, when she agrees ask her name, she tells you, write it down. 'Ok, and your sex'- make sure to give a devilish smile when you ask this one, she'll laugh and say female- next ask her how long it's been since she was out on a date- you could get a lot of different reaction here so this is when you have to start thinking on your feet. Next ask 'what are you doing tomorrow night?' - she says nothing, then ask for her number and tell her you'll pick her up around eight. bam- digits...

Thanks Busker, I'll remember that line. simple and effective.

I am already fairly knowledgeable about wine, not an expert but I can provide decent advice. However, rarely do girls under 25 want to buy a really good pricy bottle. Usually, they just want something that will fit with they're eating. In such cases, I cannot particularly DHV or brag about my knowledge. But I think I see what you mean, I'll try to tweak my game a bit.

As for the survey part, I don't know if I could pull that out. It is rather direct, like she hardly has enough time to take interest in me. Maybe it's just me..

Thanks for the help!
