Should I be trying to make eye contact with all the girls I see?
Or should I be waiting for them to make eye contact first (which I read somewhere else)? And how exactly is that done, how do you know when to look at them if you are trying to look away to prevent initiating eye contact.
lol
EDIT: My real question is what I should be doing as far as eye contact goes, should I be looking around scouting for girls and when we catch eyes do I pretend to look past her or make eye contact?
And if I see a girl looking at me do I suddenly just look up and start making eye contact or what do I do.

| Strong posture will get you noticed.....but if the girls are not paying much attention then always scan the room as if you are looking for sets and you might catch someones eye.....I know first hand that you do not have to be the baddest guy out there to out alpha them.....if you do more than likely they will notice and go from there |

Thanks for the response but I think you misinterpreted my question. |

| I'd recommend using the search, or even just browsing back through this section, cause there have been a lot of good threads on this, that myself and others have posted in and I probably wouldn't have as much to say. |

| I'd still like to hear some responses to this. The search function on this site is defintely not top notch. |

Eye contact is gold. The way I notice it works is I seem to be able to lock eyes from a distance(ie. 3-5 meters). Body posture is relaxed and confident, chin is up, slight smile and a satisfied look on my face, sometimes eyebrows are a little raised(as if I just noticed something interesting), eyes are also relaxed. My head NEVER moves. My head is facing towards the direction I'm walking.
If they are walking towards you and you are walking toward them, try not to break eye contact at all. But you have to have the right posture, otherwise you might look creepy. When you're close enough(10 feet or less) you can either say hi or smile. You're expected to at this point. Try that, and you should get positive results. |

This is where people disagree. Some people say you shouldn't smile unless she does first. |

| I know, but this has been working pretty well for me. I'm not smiling at her from that distance, I just have a slight and content smile. Meaning, it looks like I'm pretty happy with myself. And when you're close enough, a bigger smile is expected. |

If you are watching for girls to notice you then you are thinking of the room encompassing glance:
[link]
The Room Encompassing Glance
Catching a girl in the act can be very exhilarating! Now, I’m not talking about getting caught in some sexual situation here, so get your mind back in the game! I’m talking about catching a girl demonstrating that she has the ‘hots’ for you. To the untrained eye, this might be overlooked as a neutral or non-existent body language but in reality the ‘room encompassing glance’ is very specific and a tell tale sign of interest. During our photosession for the E-book – Body Language Project: Dating, Attraction and Sexual Body Language found at [link] we had our female model perform her interpretation of this glance.
Link: [link]
Description: “A woman might look across the room in an encompassing glance. She will do so simply to assess the situation. She does this by casting her eyes around the room for 5 to 10 seconds. If she spots someone she is interested in (hopefully you) she will take a second look. This second glance is directed toward a specific man. It will be short and she will rotate her head 25 to 40 degrees to the side then look away (usually downward) within about 3 seconds. Women usually continue this behavior until they meet their target’s eyes. At this point, the target and the woman will hold a mutual gaze lasting about 3 seconds.”
Excerpted from E-book – Body Language Project: Dating, Attraction and Sexual Body Language found at [link]
Other techniques for eye contact are discussed in the book |
