A little unorthodox maybe, but have you guys checked out Edward James Olmos in Battlestar Galactica? (Playing William Adama)

I think he beams authority (may have something to do with his rank though), and has an awesome body language, maybe his facial expressions mostly. Does anyone else agree with this?

Humphrey Bogart, hands down. "Casablanca" is an obvious example, but if you just watch the first five minutes or so of "The Big Sleep," you'll know what I mean.

I also strongly second James Bond.

And let's not forget Hugh Grant.

James Bond -- easily one of the best alpha male examples (see Sean Connery in from Russia with Love)

I just got done watching Iron Man 2, and there are few scenes that really stuck out as great alpha male examples.

The first is when Tony Stark is alone Natalie (right before the party scene where he is drunk). Natalie keeps looking at him flirtatiously and uses her body language seductively hoping to get a reaction out of him, but he holds his ground and behaves like an alpha man. Notice how he stares at her with no verbal response after one of her tests.

The second scene that comes to mind is when Natalie is wearing the red dress and Tony just walks into the restaurant with her. It is a prime example of push-pull dialogue; he compliments her and then immediately takes it back because it's "sexual harassment",

he also gave her responses that answered the questions he wanted to hear rather than what was actually being asked of him.

Now that I think of it, the whole press conference scene is also an excellent demonstration of alpha male behavior.
