Hope this helps i tried it today a few time not done for a while basically just as your walking round, waiting for the bus, in a shop on just in the street as a basic question that u know pretty much u wont get a no answer to here an example or 2.
Remove your watch for a bit and jsut ask HBs for the time 'excuse me have u got the time' try and see first if got a watch on, if not sometime they even get there mobile out to check, just say thanks and walk on. Dont need to try and hit on them etc as u got the answer it was a success.
Excuse me do u know where the mulberry bush pub is, i think its near ITV? yeah sure carry straight on etc then... HB answers. With this u choose someone local who will know and as i add in two points of interest she got more chance of knowing at least one.
If u get a no just say have a guess? or even get ur watch out and say well its xxxx! its funny. Do a couple of these a day and u se the difference as HB dont see it as hitting on |

That's some great advice aquifer. It's something I've been doing for the past few weeks to help improve my game. Doing this kind of thing, just asking innocent questions to strangers, does wonders for your overall confidence.
Another thing I've found, being in a relatively small college, is that something as innocent as asking a girl the time can be used to your advantage at a later date. If you're in a bar or club and you see a girl you approached earlier, you've got a ready-made opener right there. |

| Yah I love this idea... I tried to carry it one more step .. I usually go to a gym where you need to park in the back and put change in the parking meeters I brought enough for 10 minutes and that's it .. I forced myself to introduce myself and gain the trust of them to lend me a quarter or whatever they could ... It's not a real "PUA" Move ... but it just helps to talk and interact with people and realize they aren't as standoffish as you would imagine.... But it also placed a goal on me if I wanted the time to work out I had to earn it... just an Idea hope it helps |

One of the problems I see with just going around and asking chicks dumb questions like "what time is it" is that you are "pretending" to be socially inept. From NLP, I have learned that you can be anything you want just by pretending. Why pretend to be at such a low level, when you could just as easily pretend to be a real PUA.
You may fail at "pretending" properly the first few times, but eventually you'll start getting it. I think this might be the best way to start.
Anyway, I'm no expert. I'm just an AFC who tried the time/direction thing and it just made me feel like more of an AFC, so now I'm gonna start over and "pretend" to be a PUA. |

It's a good idea, it can give practise in:
- BL, by learning to ask the question and smiling and fine-tuning this. I often look weak and uncertain when smiling, for instance, but when I try to not smile too big, I may even seem rude/impolite/arrogant.
- making white lies with a straight face. After all, you're making a white lie when you ask someone for the time when you have a watch yourself. Many tricks require a little bit of acting/white lies anyway so it's good practising this
The problem with the method is that there's still almost as huge a leap from it to actually making an approach (because there are no good, logical middle steps) that it's not overly helpful... |
