Using the VH1 show as an opener.

Just reading posts I've noticed alot of concern floating around the community about "The Game" and Mystery's new VH1 show. I went sarging last night and found out that this is well warranted. I was thinking about that particular set later that night and thought of an excellent way to counter this problem. We might be able to turn The Game and the VH1 show into an opener. I think the possible merits of this approach don't need to be explained. This opener might go along the lines of:

PUA: Hi, I have a question for you...
Target: Yeah?
PUA: Have you seen that new VH1 show / Read "The Game"?
Target: I have
PUA: Do you think that that stuff actually works?

This could very nicely launch into a discussion of social dynamics etc. An understanding of PU theory could make you seem very insightful in this area as long as you were able to disguise the origin of your knowledge. Obviously if she hadn't seen or read either of these you could just launch into another opener. Trying this opener might only be useful on a certain demographic that is most likely to have seen the VH1 show or to have read "The Game." This idea needs some refinement which is why I'm posting it. Several brains working on an opener and discussing its pros and cons are better than just one. Also trying to identify this demographic could also be very helpful. Let me know what you think. I'm going to try some field tests and I'll let you know how they go.

HAHA ya I had this exact discussion a day ago yes it would work as an opener but how to progress with out her catching on its the ultimate test originality expected and you hav to avoid popular negs. I willing to try it out though Learn through living is what i always say.

I think one can build on it by driving the conversation towards discussion of cold reading (the real kind of cold reading, not "chick crack"). Talk about body language, etc. I think it can go pretty naturally that way.

"The pickup artist" is just another TV show, one can talk about it, like anything else.

Haha, I love the opener. And of course every girl is going to say no. Every one. I promise. You can continue with:

"What do you think of that guy Mystery, he's not atractive at all."

"Its funny though..." (stack) "...I'm alot like those guys on the show, I used to be a complete wallflower, until, (tell an interesting brief story DHVing yourself)".

This needs to be field tested, I'll try it out soon as you should as well. I'll report back. There is alot of potential here, especially because the conversation can so easily be geared towards attraction.

i dont see where the opener can go if she says no, its pretty easy to walk away at that point. i think its much better to run your normal game and if you get blown out because of the show, than send your wing in after and open with that Smile

I was at the mall sarging the other day in the food court, and other than an abundance of jail bait, I found a few sets of guys talking about running game stricktly off the show. I think the show will give guys singular openers, and if you stay away from the things that were on the show, you should be golden. Women will look at the show as a hurdle to get over, and think of ways to shut down the things shown on the show. And if they dont want to be picked up then they know what you will be trying, but if they actually want to meet new people, I dont see how it will matter either way...

My idea wasnt so much to use it as a primary opener as much as a way to check to see if somebody has read the book or seen the show. This is how I would work it:

PUA: Have you read "The Game?"
Girl: No
PUA: nevermind...I have a question for you

It might blow you out of a few sets but personally I'm willing to sacrifice those to avoid an even more unpleasant incident. Remember, stories about pickup artists running game can spread quickly especially if somebody has first hand experience. This could effect not only the target but also every friend she is close to as well.

Personally, I don't think it matters if you use the same methods shown on the show. Just not the same lines, since you're actually attacking the target's unconscious mind, if your game is good enough they shouldn't even know the difference. And, I think if you can stack effectively, you'll be off the topic in a matter of 30 seconds anway.

PUA: it seems so weird to me that there are some guys that need all this "game" to attract a women…what do you think about it?
