First of, I would like to point out that I read the guidelines saying ones introductions should be kept short. Iīve also read some of the introductions, and Iīve found that most of them in fact are very short. However, should anyone decide to read mine I aim to give them a short and compressed background story, my goals in internalizing the science and ask for start-up advice. Also, I would like to point out that English is my secondary language, so be warned. I canīt promise an interesting read, but I would LOVE feedback.
I very resently got introduced to the whole concept of PUAs. Needless to say my interest for the science has escalated rapidly
I want to learn more!
I thrive in the company of people, and especially in groups. Like many (I suspect) on this forum I like center stage, but my ability to achieve it greatly depends on my mood. (Obviously my day does not get ruined if I donīt get it). Ideally I would like to be able to turn this ability on and off to some extent. The ability-mood thing goes both ways.
Some of my perks are that I am above average good looking, -funny and -intelligent. Although I doubt anyone would describe me as their ultimate example of one of the traits. I contribute my current abilities (be them good or bad) to this combo. Because I am outgoing and seldom get embarrassed I am able to approach women to an acceptable extent, but I often fall short b/c I find it hard to be interesting enough. I try not to portray it, but I think my ability to interact with groups are better than with individuals. The fact that I am aware of this problem makes it a lot worse, but not intolerable. As I consider this one of my biggest shortcoming I would like to work on the ability of creating value. Does anyone have any advice on what to learn? Any good literature on specific value?
Admittedly I have an ulterior motive of applying this knowledge to other aspects of my life, not just the pick-up scene. I want to be a master of any social scene - a great salesman.
On a more general note, Iīm a 23 year old law school drop-out (after a couple years) currently studying marketing. I love to travel, and I do it a lot. I have lived in the states, and am considering moving back. I am an AFC!
Some day I hope to be able to contribute to this forum with some knowledge on my own, untill then Iīll try to keep people posted on my development and trials.
I will greatly appreciate any advice on any subject!
PS! I normally try focusing on my perceived good sides, and this post is probably influenced by that. If someone asks me about myself I will try to give them the raw and naked truth!
EDIT: I need to start reading my posts before posting them.

Hey great to read your post and welcome to the forum! (me also being new) For your building value skills I would read the book " Attraction Isn't A Choice" By David DeAngelo. It's a good read and it helped me tremendously when it came to building confidence which may relate to your problem with demonstrating value. I'll be looking forward to your posts!
ps; add my emails msn or aim if you want me to send the ebook to ya! |

Yo Rookie,
I'm 23 also. I love to travel. I just got back form a two month stay in Taiwan. I finished my degree in engineering but I actually am considering getting a sales job becuase I'm interested in developing my people skills. I haven't finished 'The Game' yet - I'm half way. While we're new, I am planning to post some experience sarging before the month is out. |

Seems we have a lot in common. This forum is addictive! I find myself either sarging, reading or thinking about the two!
Iīve proceeded to buy a couple of other books on (and off) the subject. Some of which are mentioned in The Game, and some are from recommendations on this forum.
- Mystery method
- The CONCISE 48 laws of power (Iīll probably buy the full book if I like it. The concise one is an 200 page introduction, and the whole is 400 pages if Iīm not mistaking.)
- The definitive book on body language
- Unlimited power
- Mastering your hidden self
In addition I have "attraction isnīt a choice". Itīll probably take me ages reading all of them, but it should be worth it. |
