My god, you guys, this sucks.
So it's the 4th of July, and I'm like, "I should really go out tonight," but all my friends are out of town, or married, working, or otherwise unavailable. So, I'm like, fuck it, I'll go by myself. So I decide to go out to this club that I've been to, oh, a few times, it's pretty cool, the people are pretty friendly and the whatnot. I figure, I'll just go in, start talking to staff members like I know them whether I do or not, (I figure it'll come off like social proof to any HBs standing close enough to see me talking to them but not hear what's being said.) and then immediately start attempting to open sets. It's a good ways away, (40 min or so) it's raining out, it's the 4th of July so I'm sure there's plenty of drunks out, and it's dark, and my night vision isn't the best so I'm a little on edge but I'm like, who cares, I'll get there. I get there though, and the place is closed. A club closed for the 4th!? What the hell!? So, I'm like, fuck it, I'll just drive around and find some place else. Well, about that time, it starts pouring, seriously pouring. I turn my windshield wipers on high, and my wiper goes like, off the side of the windshield, still attached to the car, but it gets stuck off the side and I can't see SHIT!! So, I pull off to the side of the road, and this has happened before and I know how to fix it, but I'm not getting out of the car in the rain with this 45 dollar shirt on, I'm going to wait for it to stop, or at least slow down. SOOO, i'm waiting there for a good 45 minutes, and it finally stops, I get out with the pliers and fix the damn thing, but at this point I'm so pissed I'm like, "fuck this, I'm going home." So I go and sit in my place for a few hours, and I start thinking, "what the fuck am I doing!?" but it's too late to go out at this point, I have to work tomorrow. But there's this series of paths around my apt. complex, and sometimes people around my age can be seen hanging around out there, so I'm like, "fuck this, I'm gonna go talk to the first decent looking girl I see." So my confidence is brimming, I walk past a couple of girls I'm not really attracted to, but I smile and make eye contact anyway, just for practice. Then I see this HB7 get out of her car, and I'm just far enough away that our paths will cross perfectly at the pace we're both moving. I think, "ok, sweater opener," but as soon as I get in proximity i puss out and turn down a different path, and walk the nearest route back up to my place.
What the FUCK you guys?
I don't get it, I did not give a FUCK 10 seconds beforehand, but as soon as I got close, I pussed out. And she was only a 7! FUCK YOU AA! GRAAARGH!!!
Any advice!? |

i don't know what kind of experience you have, or how long you've been at this game so, i don't know what else to tell you other than to force yourself to open the chick in situations like those.
i dated a high school sweetheart for 2.5 years (2 of which were during my college years). When we broke up and I got numbers without trying, i felt like i had to grow huge balls just to call the girl. i literally paced back and forth in my house for hours before i would actually call her. I sounded nervous and horrible on the phone. Now, i can call a chick no problem.
The only way to get past your sticking points is to force yourself to face them. the times when you feel most uncomfortable, most nervous, are the times where you must force yourself to go in. it will help you in the long run. |
