EXTREME BITCH SHIELD - crashed & burned

Three of us who met through this site went out on sat night. I approached a two set in an upmarket bar, to open but before I could get to the end of my sentence, one of them said ‘just fuck off and go back over to your mates’ One of us had crashed and burned with them hours before on a previous visit, using the cashmere sweater opener. I repeated my opener to be told ‘are you still here?’ These were a pair of nasty individuals. Rottweillers. I wanted the ground to open up but I also wanted to leave with my self esteem intact. So I sort of raised my voice to get my sentence out and then added ‘you are really charming so I’m going to stay right here on my nice comfy bit of the floor cos no one tells me when and where to stand’. I also added that it had been a pleasure to meet them, their reply ‘ no actually its been a pain’ so I said ‘oh really? I meant it was a pleasure for me, I wasn’t asking your opinion’ So as much as it killed me I stayed till they walk away.

I purposely went back to my mates and instantly demanded they give me high fives just incase the witches were looking over. Throughout the whole time I didn’t resort to obvious defensive behaviour but I felt to just say ‘pleasure to meet and walking would have been a bad DLV.

Now I know some of you’s may think I have not played it right but straight from the off they were aggressive. I wouldn’t even mind but they were not that good looking, I was using these as a warm up but for the rest of the night my mind was full of doubt about any other approaches. It triggered the negative self talk in my head. The next day we looked back and pissed ourselves laughing but to be truthful it did ‘damage’ my confidence for the rest of the night.
The day after we went to starbucks and got a number close and plenty of IOI’s.

could it have been handled any differently?

I've just registered specifically to reply to this post but will introduce myself properly in the right forum.
The key is to keep your cool and not see her as a female who has the upper hand, when situations like this arise I do things like mentally draw a clown face on her or imagine her bald (this works) which gives you the upperhand back mentally. In that situation I would have replied something like "Do you speak this way to your therapist?" or "I see you are handling your rage issues well, you need more social interaction, are you on a day trip from the hospital?" or if the situation is totally dead in the water and you want to leave with some self esteem then just say "Can I smell your feet?" she replies "No!" thinking you are some kind of foot fetish freak and just casually say "oh, must be your c*nt then" and walk off.
Never let the woman get the upper hand, study comedians especially ones that dont really script and are spontanious in their humour, your mind will become sharp as a tack for comebacks.

Well it could work either way i guess. But essentially you high-fiving your buddies is translated by the HBs as you saying this to your friends:
"You dared me to go over to those girls and i did, they still rejected me but atleast i met your bet"
or ill make it even clearer: "Guys none of us had the balls to go over there in the first place, and i nearly shat my pants doing it, thank god its over, are you proud of me? (like your seeking approval from your friends [a DLV cos your supposed to lead them)
To make this argument fair it could work if by small possibility the HB thought "wow he was the only one in the group man enough to come over" These girls sound like major bitches, so unlikely.

1- she knew that you have your mates back there, that means you've been noticed and she have seen you coming to them, and that is telegraphing interest to some extent.
2- telling you that right away, means that she knew you will sallow the pain and roll back, knowing that about you needs a real bad body language!
3- if she was that bitch, does not mean the other girls r just at the same level she is, so you could have negged her sharing that with other girl in the set like "i guess she's been fuckiing single for too long to be that pissed, no?" and you direct it to other girl and open the other girl and simply igonre the bitch and show them, that her best couldnt get you less confident!

i have problems with obstecales, they always screw it, right ? but we are learning!
thought i would share, and you r the one who has been in the field so you must be knowing better!

Although there is alot in there Mechanical, i have to agree with you and disagree with some things.

Some girls are just having a bad day and really arent in for a emotional ride that picking up brings.

Plus that neg would probably start some physical fight with a anger filled bitch lol.

Otherwise if that happens again and u know it wasnt your BL or bad opener then just leave them. Not everyone is there for you to mess around with, we call them targets but dont forget they are people...for all you know her father could have just called saying her mom died or somthing.

ITS MY OPINION, that if someone doesnt wana talk to you, bow out gracefuly, say sorry and leave.

Dude, some women are just bitches! I know this from experience. But I agree that sometimes it's just a bad time.

Personally, I wouldnt stay around until they leave. I'd feel like an ass. If it was near the bar I'd probably turn to the bartneder and say something like "can I get a mirror, this one seems to have misconceptions about how hot she is"

but yeah, negging is the best way to go. I'm a super nice guy to everyone, so it pisses me off when people do shit like that to me. It's probably not the best PUA advice, but I've said to a woman before(with a big smile on my face) "Wow, I did not realize you were such a bitch from over there. I'm sorry" it was a similar situation to the one you descirbed. then I walked away. Luckily, I was leaving the club at that time and I saw her on the way out, so it didnt hurt my game.

The thing about the situation is everyone is trying to diffuse the bitch shield. It is understandable and logical, but since your mate has already opened indirectly mechanical is right in the fact that

therefore my approach to the situation would have been direct. I would have not used an indirect opener, and would have just directly opened. such as

In a situation where any girl would tell me to fuck off the only thing I could say is: "Wow, thanks for stopping me in start. Then, turn around and go away with big smile on your face. She will probably feel a guilt after few minutes and aproach you with an apology. If not, whatever, it`s her loss, not yours!

I would never try to soft her emediately, If you don`t go away and try to game her emediately after she fucks you off, you are just DLV-ing yourself. This situation isn`t good even for hardcore negging. Everything you say will be DLV. Go away with a big happy smile, show her that YOU are the catch, YOU are the player, let her feel guilt for being such a bitch.
