I was thinking of dressing like the guys on GQstyle.com

I think you can get a rally good idea of fashion there as well as peacocking. You see most guys don't dress like that at all.

I live in a small town though, so I'm not sure if dressing this way is gonna help me, people might think I'm crazy. Everyone's dress is really bland and boring here.
What do you guys think?

Personally I love the Vivienne Westwood series for summer 2007. Though I think if you wanna look good without going over the top DKNY is the way to go.

Anyone else have opinions?

I totally know where you are coming from man. I work in the oilfield industry and ya I have been to alot of small towns and me and my buddies always go out and take over the bars. I remember there were two towns Bonnyville and Cold Lake... we ran those bars. Take it we would go out all the time and get smashed and drop like $1000 dollar tabs a night. But the funny thing is how different most of us looked from the small town people. They would wear hats and regular t-shirts with regular boring jeans, maybe a spray of axe if they had time. Then me and my buddies would roll in with our dress shirts, styled hair, D&G sprayed on, nice shoes. Sure we stood out like a sore thumb but all the girls loved it.

at least one Thursday every month me and my mates hit the clubs dressed in the most random shit imaginable. last Thursday we were dressed up as 1980s ravers, before that we did bin bag tuxedos. i know it sounds stupid and you look like a tard but it gets you noticed and a lot of girls will give you credit for having the confidence to go out dressed like that. Most girls end up approaching me just to ask me why? i just tell them random impulse to do something different or cos i thought it would be a giggle. They respond suprisingly well and easily warm up to you.
To be fair though you do need a group of at least 5 for this to work properly. :P

ok. so this is my first post. dont have a lot of time at the moment. so i'll keep it short and sharp. i live in a little town myself. population about 400 people. i dont know exactly what you see as peacocking. i dont do that myself. what i do is wearing clothes that compliment me. i do wear the latest fashion and look at what other guys wear in the big city. I find that its better to actually be fashionable in a crappy little town then go with the flow and look boring and predictable. Women notice you more. "Oh I love your shirt." Being different stands out. Something else you could try is wearing clothes that are fashionable but still have those small town patterns. For example I wear shoes that look like their made out of snake. You get what I mean?

Hey Jack,

Instead of changing your wardrobe completely overnight, start with one or two cool items per week.

Get a cool jacket and wear it with your scruffy jeans, like.
The week after, get that DKNY top and wear it underneath your cool jacket.

That way your neighbours with definitely notice a change but because its subtle they'll either compliment you or ignore it, BUT women will notice that someone in town is going through a change.

Before long you'll have all town dames talking about you.

Good luck

PS -post the links for the tops, etc

I think it is important to dress in a way that you feel good. Period. Nothing better than jeans (women prefer levis according to the polls) and a casual shirt (no prints or words). Today there are very few real men - compared to yesteryear. We used to have Clint eastwood, John Wayne, and Mickey Rourke. Now we have Matt damon, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. I say, dress like a real man. Screw the metro crap. When it comes down to it, women want men to be men, not boy models.

The only thing that matters is that you're feel comfortable. If you can be comfortable wearing high heeled boots and a top hat, wear that. If you can only feel comfortable wearing a shirt and jeans then stick with that. As a general point, the thing about matching the belt and watch and shoes is always a good idea. But peacocking is hardly the most important part of your game; it only amplifies whatever reaction you would have gotten anyway. As long as you're clean and don't look like a total schmuck I would'nt give it a second thought.
Hope that helps

PS It is useful to wear some kind of exotic hat or necklace. If you're running your negs over your target and focusing on her friends there is a real danger that she'll simply walk away. By "anchoring" the target by putting the hat on her or "loaning" her your necklace, you'll get her to hang around until you're ready to start paying her some attention. Even if she does walk away for a moment, that way she'll come back.

Hey man, I went to highschool in a town with the population of 1,000 ppl. So believe me I know what its like. But yeah I dressed like the guys in the magazines and yeah I took some shit from the guys, but the girls absolutely loved it and found it refreshing. Plus, after a while the guys started copying my style! haha so I say fuck it and just do it. Don't give a fuck what other guys think cuz they're not the ones getting any. Fuck 'em

I have seen the metrocrap work pretty well bro... so long as you don't overdo it... the key is balance... seven jeans, nice shoes, a nice button up with some accessories will make you look classy but not like a douchebag
