Hey, I was walking through the mall with my bro checking some shops, sarging wasnt really the main thing on my mind(but its always there!) because to be honest, i was looking alittle ruff to say the least!
We walked passed a group sitting on a bench, 3 chicks, and 1 dude with them, 2 of the chicks were 8`s, so I had myself alittle look...
1 of girls gave me a look (IOI), so I looked at her as I walked with alittle smile, as we went passed I looked back and caught her looking again!
half Game, Half panic, i gave her alittle wave as we walked away,
and she waved back with a smile on her face(IOImaybe?), so I laughed and carried on walking...(my bro was dissing me for not doing nothing about it!)
We were outside discussing how I probably should have done something, but Im not too into approaching a group of 4, especially with a guy init.
anyways, we went back into the mall to go back to the shop which happens to be back where they were at...
Walked past the group again, checking to see if the HB payed any attention, but she didnt even notice! as we got past them I thought whatever I`ll just try, so I jogged back to the group, with a big cheeky smile on my face, went round so she didnt see me, and sat beside her,taped her arm & said "hey" (had my phone in my hand the whole time...not the best move) she seemed interested, nervous, then that F`d me up, I started thinking negative, speaking total bullsh*t, everything felt like it was going wrong, the group was all looking at me, and I even said, "listen Im leaving now, but give me your number and we`ll keep in touch" and she kinda dismissed it, she started talking to her friends again, I felt like I had totally floped, so I made a quick escape! said see u guys later! walked back to my Bro and told him about the crash and burn...
But as we walked out the shop, we seen her and the other HB walking towards us(I was thinking,damn, didnt wana bump into them again!) they walked straight up to me, and the friend said"hey, my I wana to give u my number"I was shocked , but just said um ok, cool, gave the phone..we meeting up next weekend!

I was going to say (before I read the last paragraph), no way should you have felt bad about yourself for that. Crashing and burning is like 1,000,000 times better than wimping out and doing nothing. So you should have felt great that you did something.
Then I read the last bit. Well done dude. |

Any ideas or advice on how I could have ran it all abit smoother,
managed to go well in the end(lucky!?) but I would`ve like to make her even more interested when I sat down and starting talking...
maybe a type of routine would have went down nicely?
going out tonight to sarge! Im gona field test a bunch of routines, I`ll let u know how it goes...

I'm not sure on the Routine front, what would be good or not good. I guess it depends on the situation. Maybe make stuff up on the spot?
For me personally, I don't like the idea of relying too much on routines, seems to inhibit spontanious interaction. Maybe good to have 2 or 3 routines you can pull out of the hat though, as backup?
I like to be mindful of attitude and principles, and work on those rather than working routines. Am sure others would advice differnt. Let us know how you get on tho. |
