Hi, I started reading the Game by Neil Strauss and just wondered if any of you guys have followed these techniques in the UK. So far Neil has talked about his experiences in the USA and eastern Europe but I haven't read about any experiences he had in London?

I am finding the book very interesting and it certainly opened up a few ideas.

Hey i'm new too. I figure the best way to determine how it works in the UK is to just try it yourself. Its also a great way to learn the stuff.

Mate it ALL works in the UK. Although i dont think UK girls are as impressed with magic tricks, they're seen as a bit geeky here...

Stick to Derren Brown style routines and they will be impressed, making cigarettes disappear are not so cool and anything with cards is usually good although it does seem weird you having cards on you so you need to say you are a training magician or something

I personally think most aspects are univeral but only use things that correspond with your personality.

well, from what my studies have shown about targets over here is:
a> a suprising amount of them know half of the routines of a PUA (hence why I strive to find new ones!)
b> having a stylish bag doesn't work well as a prop bag (instead, I use an IKEA bag)

c>opening with a relation to public transport is almost always one that works (because as you all know how crap public transport is with arriving on time!)

and the magic tricks aren't seen as geeky, as long as it is used in context with some of the surroundings; however if it isn't, then a usual reply is "Geek." which, can be overcome with "well, smart is the new sexy..." (least it works for me!!!)

in my opinion, a lotof this shit doesnt even work, let alone in the uk. ive tried some of it and nothing has ever worked for me. the only thing that ever really works is like mucking about telling em how stupid they are and how gret you are. it worked for me once. but never has again. i dont know what im doing wrong. i really do try, but i dont make it look like a i try. everyone tells me im ocnfident, but i dont think iam. i just never get anyhing. ive had one girlfriend who was my first and thats it. im 18, average looks. short.fat. i always just feel inadequate cos they always seem to go for someone whos clearly better than me. the amount of times ive been rejected and it still hasnt lost its associated pain. any tips?

shred , u say your fat ? hit the gym , go running , walking whatever. you'll look better and most importiantly you will feel better . even walking for 30 mins briskly improves your mind and get you fired up . youv had a gf before so you can do it again .

dont think about the game to much or you'l appear try hard . just kid around with them like you do , neg abit , tease alot and at all times remember your body language and how you present yourself . sets around you may also be watching you

be prepared to fuck up man , we all do and the more you do it the more you learn

I think alot of what Style wrote about was also situated in more trendy, cosmopolitan locations. How could someone from a small community pull that shit off without the expense of having to travel?

I think in a smaller community you have to be really careful not to exhaust all of your opportunities really quickly.

Travel to outside the community. If your not too bothered about using up the opportunities I think day game helps in a small place.

Im in the uk manchester to be exact and i can say that i feel all this material works just change some of the wording to fit your own personality and style.

REMEMBER its not what you say its HOW you say it!

People rely on canned material and all this i just use the basics of the MM(Mystery Method) 3second rule, Opinion openers etc etc then use my own material one thing i avoid is using ANY lines that have been used on the VH1 show "The Pickup Artist" and Now with this new film based all on the Pickup Artist community soon i think a WHOLE new approahc to pickup will have to be taken.

Then again thats just my opinion
