I finally approached my first target today! Wheew what a fucking relief. It really does give you a high like they say, and after its done, you feel extremely relieved. It really went nowhere just small talk, to a target that was too young, but I see it as very good practice.

My inner game is getting better. Just to all those AFC's out there, don't give a flying fudge what they think. If they reject you, just one more step towards ultimate and inevitable success! Good luck guys.

The first approach has to be by far the most difficult. But after that, they get much easier. Trust me, Im still far from over AA, but with each approach I'll get more and more relaxed doing it.

Just make sure you follow the three second rule no matter what!

In the MM, it states that its completely normal to need 2 or 3 warm up sets to get comfortable with opening...i know that applies to me.

Day game is harder than nite game. But day game is free, and nite game always costs money.

I am glad to know I am not the only who hasn't done a first approach... I just can't get over that mental barrier.

I'm really strugling with the mental barriers too Rolling Eyes I don't know why. I can't even try to find the reason why NOT to aproach. Still, there' something holding me back...

Your problem is that you aren't thinking approaching as fun.

Good to hear about this Smile.

Good note about first approaches:

DON'T STRESS THEM! I know it's rough and no matter what, we will always be afraid - but believe me it feels great once it's over with. Don't even worry about failing. Even IF the target(s) just says, "I don't want to talk, sorry", you should still be damn proud of yourself that you broke down that fear and just went up to her or them!

I remember my first approach, and of course, it didn't stick too well, but for some reason, I didn't feel bad about myself. I knew it was my first approach and I can't pull a "mystery". The thing was I "expected" to not succeed and wasn't worrying about it, just went in and applied everything I remembered. I actually did much much better than I presumed I would. I realized one thing - it's okay. Then I looked at how I approached and my material and body language and actually found a few errors, but as you can see I learned no matter what.

You can only learn if you don't succeed. So think of it as win/win. Even if the target(s) reject you, you learn what you might've done wrong. If you win the set, you played your cards right Smile. Mystery says in one of his videos -

"A guy will go out to a club and approach 30 sets and fail. That means you f**ked up 30 times! If you approach a set, and you don't get it, you f**ked up. And if you approach a second set and fail, you f**ked up twice! There MUST come a time where you start succeeding. Even if you get 1 out of 10 sets, that's still good!"

Never feel bad about failing, you can only learn from it, which in return gets you that much better for the next HB's you see Cool

That AA is what gives you that rush when you get that number! That is the butterflies in your stomach everytime you see a hot girl! It is awesome...If I am in the mall and I see a hot girl, my stomach gets warm and i get nervous because I know I SHOULD hit on her. I am getting better though, and I think it comes with support...

If you have those mental barriers, you just have to learn that this is just fun, and the more you practice the better you get. If you can find a good wing man I think you can get past that barrier. Just try using the canned stuff at first...

It's that AA bro. No matter what we'll feel it, it's just a circut inside us we can't get rid of. We'll always be afraid of that approach, but it's up to us to break through.

In the words of Mystery (On the 3 second rule) - "You can choose to feel that horrible feeling for 3 seconds or 15 minutes, your choice."

Also I read of a theory somewhere called - "The Cold Pool Theory". I think Mystery said this one too -

It's like jumping in a freezing cold pool. We feel the water first and realize it's cold (We see the HB and usually her friends), and we don't want to jump in right away because it'll be so freezing (We won't approach right away because of AA). But the quicker you jump in (Quicker you approach), the quicker you get it over with. Sure it may be freezing at first (Nerve wracking when you first approach), but you'll eventually get through it after time.

One of my friends actually had a severe case of AA. I was his wing for the night helping him out. So he pointed out a set and kept begging me to approach them for him. As mad as it made him, he finally got up and approached. It's as though you must force yourself physically to approach. As previously stated, after that approach it just gets that much easier.

Good luck Methods Wink

I said the first thing that came into my head which was I had seen them together earlier. anyway hbfriend of a friend looked at me like I had been stalking her and was gone!! up til then it had been going well!
