So, as there are TONS of people asking this very question in various threads (sometimes twice in the same thread....) I thought it might be a good thing to try and compile into one place. It's easy to become introduced to NLP concepts and basics online for free, however for more advanced NLP information, you will most likely have to make a few purchases.
_Chief_ and Rye Lee, feel free to edit my post to include or exclude anything you feel like.
For everyone else, if you have something you want added, post a reply, and I'll edit my post accordingly.

correction:
NLP in our PU context refers to Neuro-linguistic programming and not Natural language processing(another NLP)

What about Milton H. Erikson? I heard that he has written many books himself and is known to have invented conversational hypnosis.

I've personally read a third of NLP:The New Technology of Achievement.
It isn't half bad, however it's more on the self not on other people.
I didn't think of reccommending this to anyone till I heard Ross say "You have to work on yourself, before you can work on other people".
Now I highly reccommend this, also what I found out is that when it comes to NLP you don't notice it working, it works on the unconscious mind, you might not feel any difference immediately but then the next day boom. So give some of the stuff time, others you might be able to do immediately.
Also with all the werid, supplicating, weak rAFCs (no offense, we were all there), I suggest that you guys start working on the self before you attempt to work on other people. Don't forget though that most of the NLP patterns and routines won't work until you're in comfort or Rapport with them. Sure Ross and Major Mark could pick up girls in seconds but we're not master practioners of SS and NLP here, we don't teach this stuff for a living, so seriously you shouldn't look into this until you can successfully get a woman into Rapport with you.
Remember nothing is a quick fix, not even NLP |

NLP wasn't made to help your game out, it wasn't made for seduction.
What it was made for was improving your communication skills, and programming people and yourself (kinda like hypnosis).
It's great for comfort and yes it does help your game out if you study enough of it, but remember NLP is a lot to take in it's commitment, not just any nancy can read some stuff for a week and get it. |

Look up the book called "The February Man"
It's worth reading, if you're interested in hypnosis, language and understanding these subjects, and you'll see why he is considered the creator of conventional hypnosis. He demonstrates a great control over the language, and manipulates the subjects so easily it's pure joy to read.
For more of Ericksonian work, look for Ernest L. Rossi, who's authored and co-authored a lot of books with Milton.
but seriously; I consider "The February Man" a brilliant example of creative hypnosis, and hugely inspirational, since you're curious and enjoy these things.
Invest some time into it, it's worth it. |

Basically anything by Richard Bandler is a fantastic source for information about NLP.
I would start with "Frogs into Princes" to learn more about it. |
