|
|
So in Feb there was an application process to be a certified MeHow bootcamp instructor. It was a killer application. I applied and got an email back saying that I made the first cut. The email was sent to 10 people out of the applicants.
I just got a phone call from a girl who works for Mehow setting up an interview tomorrow on the phone with 3 of the instructors.
they told me I was the top pick in the area (which is NC, TN and SC I think).
wish me luck. I'll be sure to let you guys know if I get that job. I'm excited, just wanted to share |

Congratulations, man! Mehow doesn't exactly have the greatest rep in the community, but I think he's got good stuff.
Are they accepting any interns? haha
I applied to work for David Wygant before. He contacted me back, asking me for my phone number for an interview. I sent him my number and he never friggin replied. |

so I had the interview today. It was about an hour on the phone. They kinda 'swore me to silence' about some of the stuff they told me. but the basic gist of it went:
They train me for (as long as it takes to get certified) about 6 months or so. Mehow's people have a pretty nifty way to spice up how instruction for students go and I'm pretty sure his program that he's starting (which is international) is going to be pretty successful.
anyway, once certified, i would have an opportunity to make a shit-ton of money. they would give me a hefty percentage of what I bring in for them, and there are LOTS of ways to bring it in. I would pretty much be THE instructor for this program in 3 states adjacent to me and get all the students in those three states.
The catch is: I have to shell out a lot (LOT) of money in order to do this.
I will most deffinatley make it back, and then some. but not until this program has really been launched and I have students.
The justify it by saying that the equipment they're sending me is expensive, and the learning materials are very expensive. Which I'm sure all that stuff is....but the dilemma is, why am i paying them if they're hiring me?
anyway, I'm not doing it unless something they've offered changes. I'll let you guys know how things work out
but at the very least, keep an eye out in the next year for lots of improvements in the community. WOO HOO! |

With all due respect to MeHow, this vaguely reminds me of the time I almost got sucked into a pyramid scheme...
But I hate being the killjoy here so good going and good luck! |

Yeah, i'm concerned too. It would make sense if i get to keep the equipment (like i'm buying it) but the equipment is the company's, and in the contract, it says that they can terminate me at any time for any reason. theoretically, I can pay them a lot of money, then they can fire me before I even get a chance to work and make it back.
but geeze, i'd hate to turn my bakc on this
any other thoughts guys? |

lol ask Gunwitch what he thinks of Mehow and you'll be running the other way
...although he doesn't think very highly of most "gurus" ...not even of Mystery... |

I think if your really at a level that you can teach, you should just handle your own workshops eg. like Mystery's first workshop in "The Game".
Advertise on various forums and you'll get good business. This way you can make the workshops more personal, and avoid the whole "we just want your money" approach that Pick Up has become. And MeHow's reputation is disputable... |

well it's not just the ability to teach. this new program has a new mechanism of teaching which will be pretty effective. and by paying this exorbinant amount of money, i will have exculsive rights to use this method in a three-state region.....
~Sorry to be an ass, but i can't say what it is. it's no huge deal, they just said that I'm exempt if i tell about it and they have my name on here~ |

I'd love to know what on earth kind of gizmos they need to send you in order for you to be able to be a PUA. Lets see...a pack of gum, a notebook, a pen, some condoms, maybe a cell phone? That's gonna be a hefty bill.
I don't really care how good the offer is anymore, I will NEVER pay to get into something like this. I paid something like 2k once because I was told that they needed assurance I wasn't going to run off like most people do as soon as they start making big money with the company, then I never got a cent from them and they just kinda forgot about me.
The only time you should be paying for a job opportunity, is when it's something that you can see and that you know the cost of, like a website that you are helping to pay for. If they're hiring you, then that should be at their expense, training and all, otherwise they aren't so much hiring you, as giving you a chance to learn and see if they want to hire you, with the ability to fuck you over any time they desire. |

Good call Rye. I'm going to tell them that I will not pay out of pocket for this, instead that I'll pay them out of my commision. That way, if they terminate me for some bull reason, then I don't lose tons of money.
it's not something that makes you a PUA. it's a learning tool which will make learning very efficient and accelerated. plus fun too |
