You guys watch the movie Hitch?

Me and my friend were discussin whether or not the line/action Hitch used in the bar to get the HB's attention was a neg or something else that doesn't have a name yet.

What he did was walk up to the hot girl, gave her some change and said something along the lines of, "Hurry up and get me a drink, I'll be sitting over there". He sat down and the girl removed herself from her group and followed Hitch to say how rude he was. From then on he sarged her.

It's somewhat a cross between a neg and a trap if you can call it that. It forced her to isolate herself and had the effect of a neg.
Me and my friend just decided it was a neg+trap. Like a "net" (neg+trap) Very Happy

I've been working on a modified version of this sneaky tactic. I'll test it on the field a few times then report back to you about it.

For me, that scene sticks out the most! It was a fantastic move, and easily adapted to new situations. I think you're right, it's both a neg and trap. Plus a lot of DHV!

For AFCs to see how a guy can improve his game hugely, compare two scenes of that film. The scene where Hitch is declaring is eternal love to the girl in the car in the rain, and and the scene you mention Saros.

You can see difference! That sums up what can be done with plenty of practice and improvement.

I haven't field tested this yet, but you guys got me thinking about the possibility of nets if they are modified.

So after some thought, this is what I have:
If you run this in real life, there's probably gonna be two outcomes: she will follow you OR she will not follow you, pretty simple. Of course, outcome two is what we want. So i got thinking, what could make nets more successful? The answer was to get the target to follow me back to my seat. Now in the movie Hitch, he used his assertiveness/ straightforwardness to get his target's attention. I decided I wanted more than that. I concluded that maybe I could add something completely random to what I was giving her, so instead of just giving her spare change, I would make sure I put something like a broken crayon in her hand too. I would also make sure that I would give her so little change, that she would not be able to buy the thing I told her to buy.

Now, I need to explain the crayon ( or whatever random object you use i.e lego block). It will be used to get her to laugh / break her current state of mind. I realize that you could offend someone with the original "opener" so the randomness could add a playful tone to it.

So now, instead of having just one thing that pulls her over (assertiveness) you now have 3: assertiveness, humour and also the fact that you didn't give enough change to her.

That's what I have for now, and I will field test this whenever I find an opportunity. If anyone wants to do this too, go ahead.

I don't know about you guys, I am just a newbie, but I get the intuition that using this technique the girl may just think "what a damm freak" and walk away, or she might just be annoyed, or she may wonder who the hell I am but not in a good way. I think most girls will know this is only a way to get their attention and they will just ignore you. Unless they like you already, in which case there is no need for such extreme thing to do.

Hmm....perhaps I must test it myself and see if I can make something out of it.

Does anyone feel that using a line from a movie kind of make it sound forced/fake to the girl? Especially one like Hitch where alot of women have surely seen it.

What Big Willie did with this move was create a purposeful misinterpretation. He treated her just like he would any other waitress in the bar. Such misinterpretations can be made just about anywhere, with, hopefully, as decent an effect.

Walk up to a girl in Wal-Mart and ask her to price check something (a toy Powerpuff Girl would be perfect, setting up the Powerpuff Girl routine for later in the sarge).
You: Hey, could you price check this for me? I'll be in the Men's section.

From there you could move on to Tyler Durden's coat move. Grab a coat from the rack and say "Hey, check this out," and start walking toward a mirror. If she starts to follow you (and she should), grab another coat of the same kind and put it on her. Then look in the mirror together. Put your arm around her. A powerful technique when used properly.

Walk up to a girl at a restaurant.

You: Could we get a refill on the coffee please? (point to your table, set down a dollar in random change and a condom and walk back to your table).

When she gives you back the condom, make like she's hitting on you. Run the Sexual Predators routine from there on in, and any other routines you want. You also have the benefit of sitting, which is unintimidating, and you can have her make an early commitment to sitting with you, a la Juggler.

You: I can't talk to you anymore.
Her: Why?
You: It's sort of intimidating, having a sexual predator hover over you. If you want to keep talking to me, you'll have to sit down.

Hell, you could even run this on the street. Have your wing call your cell phone from across the street. Answer, then hand it off to her.

You: (Horribly confused) Um... It's for you... I'll be over here.

Have your friend run some quick phone game on her to get her in frame, and then run with it when she gives you back your phone. ^__^

This could well be a whole new frontier of options for Opening.

I think its risky and sort of like using the jealous opener to open all girls. Tweaked and modified it has the potential to be a great technique, but as of now you will probabally be know as the Hitch imatator and automatically blocked as if a guy was using a pick up line on her. Great concept, just needs other applications and ways of using it and it could become a great weapon in the aresenal of any pick up artist.

Every woman [person] is unique the scene that really brought that home to me was the scene when he took that lady to ellis island, how many guys might have done that for her?
Also water skiing that is real original
hated the ending like the old hollywood script where the bad guy always loses these type of films will always the taaming of the guy.

A real quick mention on this "net" idea. one more way could be to act pressed for time.
At work there was this girl who always brings her own food. So i decide to bring some shrimp linguini. She was microwaving her lunch, but it always takes more time than normal due to the microwaves being terrible so she had to put it back in for 3 minutes. So after quick hi and about a minunte left on the timer, I gave a concerned look at the time and made an audible sigh. Then said, "hey microwave this for me for 2 minutes" and put my food on the table, "im gonna " and make a motion with my arm like i need to go and come right back. I take my time getting back hoping she either takes my lunch with her where she sits and not leave just it in the microwave.

she did take it with her, so i grab the chair next to her, thank her and begin a conversation and end up sharing some lunch.
